To have not shown my boss any sympathy about her dying dog?

I know. Sounds like a thread designed to cause a ruck, doesn't it? Hmm

Basically, it's this. My boss is a heartless, immature cow. She is , still lives with her parents and has no clue how the real world works. She is a massive hypochondriac, I mean seriously, she is ill EVERY time I go into work. She always has to leave early/go on extended lunch breaks for some reason. She is a frigging nightmare.

In January, I had to take time off to look after DS when he has chickenpox. Not much time, a few days, but she didn't like it. Then in February her dog died. She had three days off and I left her a card saying that I was thinking of her. Then in March I had to take another day off because I was ill. She was vile about it.

Now her other dog is dying. At work on friday, she kept saying that everytime she thought about her sick dog, she felt ill. Her entire family were taking the dog to the vets the next morning and she took the morning off to go with them. I think it's pathetic that she gets this upset over a dog yet has no empathy for sick children. I didn't show her any sympathy at all. I felt like chinning her tbh.

Any news on the cat? Hope all OK

bonnie someone walked out of my office because we were being disrespectful about Princess Diana in the week of her martyrdom. She took the rest of the bloody week off.

As it was a magazine and the entire edition was turned over to Diana's life story at very short notice it could have been very inconvenient. Luckily she was useless and we got on better without her.

When she returned she discovered I'd been to Hyde Park to watch it on the big screen. I didn't really want to go, but my mum did.

She screamed at me that we were there under false pretences but that Diana would be able to see into my heart (black and stinking). Then she went home early.

What was your problem again bups?

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:06

limited that sounds fabulous.

I remember the absolute SHOEING Private Eye got because they were less than respectful the week Diana died. Bloody hell that was a low week 'your people need you ma'am' on the Sun with pictures of proles people crying.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:08

Buppy steal a picture of the dead dog and send it off to those photo printing places and have it made into a coaster. Give it as a gift and she will be delighted

BUT WAIT

You can then make colleague a cup of coffee and slam the cup down on Rover's head thereby having a small albeit daily petty revenge.

FioFio · 26/06/2012 15:11

It's really upsetting when you have to have a dog put down and of course you are sad afterwards, that's normal.

It doesn't mean she should be going against company policy about your sick pay and leave

FioFio · 26/06/2012 15:13

we had our dog put to sleep at home and dh had a cup of coffee and went back into work afterwards :( and he was gutted. So I do appreciate having days off work is a tad over the top

limitedperiodonly · 26/06/2012 15:14

It's what she would have wanted.

Really, yes she would.

Prince William was very touching a while ago when he said he wished Diana could have met Kate Middleton because she would have loved her.

I thought 'I know you love them both, mate, but that is one of the most delusional things I've heard in a long time.'

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:16

Now I think you are being uncharitable limited.

I think Diana would have welcomed Kate with open arms and would have welcomed the fact that the press transferred their affections to the new and fashionable younger princess. She would have bowed out with grace and dignity. Wink

Ormiriathomimus · 26/06/2012 15:20

"I thought 'I know you love them both, mate, but that is one of the most delusional things I've heard in a long time."

Yep. Their well-bred, well-groomed hackles would have been up instantly Grin

limitedperiodonly · 26/06/2012 15:21

I was worried for a moment there. Grin

I don't think the hen night with Carole and Pippa would have been much of a success either.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:22

It would make a BRILLIANT celebrity deathmatch.

With William protesting toothsomely.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:22

Haha at the hen night

Carole, Pippa, Kate, Diana, Eugenie, Beatrice, the three Spencer girls and Camilla Parker Bowles with her packet of fags weeping in the corner.

PrincessTamTam · 26/06/2012 15:24

THREE days off?? Really? Shock

ShirleyKnot · 26/06/2012 15:30

ARGH!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:37

Fucking norah!

BupcakesandCunting · 26/06/2012 15:44

Ooh stop that Shirley before I do some gentle love-making at you.

Diana would have HATED Kate. She would have scweamed and scweamed until she was thick at the attention she gets.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:45

I bet Diana's haircut would be shit nowadays if she were still alive.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:46

God I am an unspeakable bastard sometimes.

But still. She either looked like Donald Trump (early days) or Shirley from Eastenders (post divorce)

BupcakesandCunting · 26/06/2012 15:49

She was a minger. Sorry to reduce her to her looks but she wasn't this great beauty that everybode harps on about. She had shit hair and big mad stary eyeballs and a sizeable konk. Camilla is much handsomer IMO.

I can't remember what female columnist pointed out that the true tragedy was that Diana had finally got her hair right when she died.

I think it was Helen Fielding in the guise of Bridget Jones in the Independent.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:51

I think she was very attractive, in that big boned english way.

I am tall ,broad shouldered, wear too much mascara, have a big nose and english rose --ruddiness- colouring but nobody calls ME a famed beauty, do they, DO THEY?

GetOrfMoiiLand · 26/06/2012 15:52

Yes she did look very pretty with that longer hair look.

I can't believe that someone said that re Diana - I thought I was the only one to think of haircuts in the proximity of death of a legend Grin

BupcakesandCunting · 26/06/2012 15:53

I also have a huge prominent nose and farmer Giles cheeks. :(
