AIBU to be shocked and horrified?

I'm shocked and horrified at the amount of people who say they are 'shocked and horrified' at things that don't really warrant shock or horror...just a bit of an eyebrow raise and perhaps a spot of pearl clutching for good measure.

I think it's shocking and horrific if I'm honest Shock Grin

I stole them from a waxwork back in the 60s. Got shot at, that's how i lost my fingers.

WorraLiberty · 09/06/2012 23:51

takes me ages to lace up my shoes with only 2 fingers

Look, you can still flick a V sign and give people the middle finger so stop your bloody whining woman Hmm

Right.

That's it.

I have taken umbrage now.

I am appalled at the way this thread has gone. There's never any need to mention goats or fingernails in polite society.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 09/06/2012 23:51

It's my turn to wear the family shoe a week Wednesday.

Which waxwork? Did you go for elvis' blue suede shoes?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 09/06/2012 23:52

Taken umbrage! A much underused phrase. I love taking umbrage!!

StealthPolarBear · 09/06/2012 23:52

No it was a waxwork of the quuen, and she was in bed.
I can't actually worra. But I do a mean thumbs up

WorraLiberty · 09/06/2012 23:54

You can't possibly take umbrage because that reminds me of Umbro and that's a pretty shit make of sports clothes so why would anyone take them?

That would be like rioting and looting in Poundland...totally pointless and a waste of time and effort.

On behalf of all the rioters and dubious hoodies out there, I'm miffed at this.

So you can hitch a lift and yet you're still vexed Confused

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 09/06/2012 23:56

Not flabbergasted? Just miffed?

Shodan · 09/06/2012 23:59

I am bridling at your reference to an inferior sports clothes manufacturer, Worra. However, since you are miffed I will stop short of being wounded. Naturally I have never come across the afore-mentioned ISCM- I spend too much time being disgruntled at minor issues to go shopping.

WorraLiberty · 10/06/2012 00:01

I've just checked my flabber and on close inspection it does appear to be a tad gasted...yes.

bridling, I love that word!

What does it mean please? Grin

To show indignation, anger or scorn, Worra. Not that I had to check the dictionary or anything Grin It used to crop up a lot in some author's work, as I recall. Can't remember who, though.

Shodan · 10/06/2012 00:10

Grin Oh yes, Maryz. My apologies.

I am definitely appauled at my apauling speling.

I will castigate myself forthwith.

WorraLiberty · 10/06/2012 00:10

Oh right, I thought it had something to do with horses Grin Blush

Great, now I want to do a poo at Paul's thanks to you two Hmm

OP posts:
Shodan · 10/06/2012 00:13

Take your own loo brush, Worra. I hear that Paul doesn't have one.

Now there would be a good opportunity to be vexed, I think.

BumpingFuglies · 10/06/2012 00:17

WTAF I have logged on very late to find Worra SHOCKED and HORRIFIED and I haven't read the thread so I am BEMUSED and BEWILDERED!

WorraLiberty · 10/06/2012 00:17

I want to shit in the kid's rucksack...never mind in his mate's house Hmm

That's how piqued I am right now.

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 10/06/2012 00:20
