AIBU to be shocked and horrified?

I'm shocked and horrified at the amount of people who say they are 'shocked and horrified' at things that don't really warrant shock or horror...just a bit of an eyebrow raise and perhaps a spot of pearl clutching for good measure.

I think it's shocking and horrific if I'm honest

Oh my eyes!!!! I'm far too young to be exposed to all this clutching of pearl necklaces!!!! :o

I wore my dead Grandma's bee-yoo-tiful real pearls on my wedding day, and very proud of them I was too. Not so keen on the smutty jokes and innuendo from my so called friends and even my then new DH .

In fact, I would go so far as to say I was shocked and horrified, and haven't worn a pearl necklace since.

Oh, you can tell it's a Saturday night and the football's on...

And also terribly shocked and horrified!!!

Well that's it now Squeaky...I'm sitting here in floods of tears.

And I mean literally floods.

Some bastards have also nicked the swim toys I had for just an emergency....

You're right cory, the horrified emoticon should be this one with it's hair standing on end and a string of pearls round its neck.
