To not have sex with my partner

Because yet again I have the most horrific shaving rash! He says he doesn't mind but I do... Now I feel silly Blush

While we're here does anyone else suffer from the BURN and HORRID ingrown hairs? How do you prevent them.. I'm sick to death.

I wish I could just go all european and not do hair removal but it makes me itchy thinking about it.

Yellow Really? Do expand.

What on earth have I said to you today you could construe as rude. 2 seconds ago I was agreeing with you.

Very curious.

Ive explained to Kumbrum what I meant. And she has been good enough to explain what she meant.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 18:12

You don't think "Moonmin, only yellow is allowed to be rude and get all offended!" is a rude thing to say?

Fair enough.

Can we leave off the personal slaggings (me included) and get back to the topic or, just, you know, not?

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 18:18

Ha ha iPhone fail, did pointing it out make you feel better?

It wouldn't bother me if what I said was irrelevant. Doesn't matter what you studied it doesn't mean that everyone who is BALD is that way because of outside influences.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 18:20

Im pointing it out, like you pointed out you didnt like what I said to Kumdrum

"Maybe the way you posted it didn't inspire me to answer. If you feel left out, I'm happy to jump on you too. "

You said this to Moomin shortly before you called her rude.

My point being, you give it out, and to a certain degree you get it back.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 18:21

Sure. And now I'm saying I can't be arsed with the slating from either side.

It's a bit silly, really. I'm sure we can all do without being rude to others on the internet.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 18:27

I could do without being told that I shave my foo because of men/ social pressures. If that were the case I wouldn't have given birth the last two times with a full fanny of hair, and pretty hairy legs to match.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 18:28

OK. I, for one, haven't told you that.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 18:29

That doesn't sound right, a very hairy fanny, I didn't stuff it full of hair or anything

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 18:35

Agreed yellow

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 18:36

shakes on it

parades muff

mathanxiety · 30/05/2012 18:45

Moomins, funny enough, there are women who get themselves shaved or waxed before giving birth because they are worried that presenting a hairy fanny to the medical professionals will mean they will be talked about in a derogatory way, or get less than great medical care as they will look 'ungroomed'. A friend who is a l&d nurse noticed the trend a few years ago and noticed other professionals noticing too..

And related to that, in the olden days women campaigned against mandatory shaving of pubic hair that was a standard part of admission for delivery. The grounds that they used to defend shaving women were mostly to do with spurious claims of hygiene, and it was proved that pubic hair didn't have a deleterious effect.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 18:47

I can vouch for that, math. A friend of a friend who is a doctor has spoken, more than once, about the "massively hairy" fannies she has seen that day.

I would be upset if my doctor were talking about me like that or even thinking about my pubic hair at all.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 19:21

There was anecdotal evidence of that further up thread, midwives taking the piss out of women who hadn't.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 19:23

Maybe they do but I don't, because I don't care what society thinks. I do what I want with my fanny.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 19:27

Also having worked as a hcp, I've never seen any women totally bald. The majority didn't even trim. I've never met a hcp who made a derogatory comment about anyone's preference either.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 19:59

I didn't bother, I think we have a lot worse to worry about fanny wise than a bit of hair when your about to have a baby pop out.

WhiteWidow · 30/05/2012 20:02

In response to Math and someone else (I'm really sorry it was a few pages away and i forgot who it was) since making this topic I haven't shaved, for the purpose of experimentation. Also had sex numerous times! Aha.

It's not my cup of tea. I don't like how it looks and don't like how it feels. It bothers me, and its only in the growing back stages! I like the feeling of smoothness, I even shave my arms (not just under) because I love the feeling of soft skin.

Sound almost fetish like there.
