To not have sex with my partner

WhiteWidow · 27/05/2012 17:19

Because yet again I have the most horrific shaving rash! He says he doesn't mind but I do... Now I feel silly Blush

While we're here does anyone else suffer from the BURN and HORRID ingrown hairs? How do you prevent them.. I'm sick to death.

I wish I could just go all european and not do hair removal but it makes me itchy thinking about it.

I thought you were meant to go against the direction of hair! Blush

Debeezandbirds · 27/05/2012 18:22

Why would anyone try to have the body of a seven year old again OldGrey? Hmm

Maybe we have a preference as we feel more hygienic down there? Maybe it makes certain sexual practices easier? Maybe I like to style mine and put a bit of hair dye on.

OP makes clear her DP couldn't give a fuck about the state of her bush. She also implies she does this for her own comfort.

Every woman has a right to do with her bush as she see's fit. Please don't imply that by running a razor over my body I'm fulfilling some sort of paedo fantasy of prepubescence.

OldGreyWiffleTest · 27/05/2012 18:25

Ooer Debee - I really hit a nerve there, didn't I? I am also entitled to my opinion!

NettoSuperstar · 27/05/2012 18:26

Epilator.

Moominsarescary · 27/05/2012 18:27

Epilater

WhiteWidow · 27/05/2012 18:28

Yes fanjo ha! And thanks for the tips guys. I've got terribly sensitive skin since I had the contraceptive implant. Weird I know1

It might be a generation thing, I don't know anyone my age that doesn't shave their bits. It's just part of my routine now, just like washing my hair.

I think I'll give in nd stop being so soft, he's seen me at my worst times and best and still loves me so... Ha

Debeezandbirds · 27/05/2012 18:28

You did hit a nerve, you said Yuk about what I chose to do with my public hair. Can I now speculate and comment on the state of your fanjo?

OP asked for advice regarding technique stating she did not feel comfortable growing it in, you said yuk. Your opinion was neither use nor ornament.

WhiteWidow · 27/05/2012 18:29

LOL @ debeeze, the last line tickled me.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 27/05/2012 18:30

Why on earth would it feel more hygienic to remove hair? Given that it is less so?

I personally would say keeping the hair in nice condition - soft and clean - is the most appealing and least likely to give a rash. It is much easier that the other options, too.

Debeezandbirds · 27/05/2012 18:30

Whitewidow glad you found some tips to try. Have you tried veet's sensitive range? (that bloody implant has so many side effects Angry )

DP sounds cool whichever way you go. My DP likes to guess which style will be next.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 27/05/2012 18:30

It doesn't have to be part of your routine. It sounds really painful and unpleasant.

Do the men you know shave their bits too?

Debeezandbirds · 27/05/2012 18:32

Many men do trim and shave now Plenty, makes their knobs look HUGE!

WhiteWidow · 27/05/2012 18:33

I'll try that thanks debeeze

Plentyofpubes what an apt name! It doesnt have to not really but i just wouldn't have it any other way. I suppose it's the way other people feel about shaving their legs! Some of them do actually, my partner doesn't because I don't like it.

OP posts:
Moominsarescary · 27/05/2012 18:33

Dp shaves all his

NettoSuperstar · 27/05/2012 18:34

These threads never go well.
If you want a hairless fanjo you either want to be a small child, have a paedophile partner, and/or watch porn constantly.

I'm single, no sex drive or interest in sex (including self pleasure), have a hair free fanjo and as it's mine, I'll do what I damn well please with it.

WorraLiberty · 27/05/2012 18:34

I always get a shaving rash OP because I've got very sensitive skin.

Veet removal cream works for me...the bikini one for sensitive skin.

HillyWallaby · 27/05/2012 18:34

God help me if DH ever leaves and I have to start having sex with new people again. Is there anyone who still has a full head of hair down there? I am starting to feel like a freak from another planet. I use nail scissors to trim the main triangle so it is not quite so bushy, and I either shave or immac my bikini line, ie. anything that sticks out of the sides of my knickers. And that's it. Even that is too much effort sometimes.

Do all men expect you to have a fanny like a nine year old's these days? Confused

LRDtheFeministDragon · 27/05/2012 18:37

Goodness. When I have seen men's bits devoid of hair they just looked ... well .. bald. Confused

Moominsarescary · 27/05/2012 18:37

FFS it may be bald but it doesn't look anything like a nine year olds

susiedaisy · 27/05/2012 18:38

The only way you will stop the in growing hairs is to stop getting rid of hair, I work in women's health and so see the odd fanjo and it's def an age thing over 30 usually full bush under 30 waxed or bare Grin

HillyWallaby · 27/05/2012 18:38

Oh. I see we have already had that difficult discussion. Grin

Stellarforstar · 27/05/2012 18:38

If you use Veet, DO NOT be looking at Mumsnet at the same time...

You will get engrossed and end up with chemical burns on your undercarriage.

WorraLiberty · 27/05/2012 18:38

Hilly I'm 43yrs old and have had 3 vaginal births

If my fanny resembles anything like a 9yr olds, I'd be very concerned for the poor girl....

Debeezandbirds · 27/05/2012 18:39

"Do all men expect you to have a fanny like a nine year old's these days"

No, my partner has no children of his own, I was terrified of a man who hadn't been through childbirth with a woman seeing what it had done to my downstairs, we're talking folds of skins, scars and lets face it a lot more space than he's used too. He was supportive and said if anything my fanjo is more beautiful as it's brought something wonderful in the world and it's almost a badge on honor. Hardly a man lusting after little girl bodies. (Throw in my mummy tummy, saggy tits and cellulite too)

Shakey1500 · 27/05/2012 18:39

I've tried to go with the growth of the hair and it hardly removes any, so go against. But that results in horrendous rash also and the odd ingrowing hair. I'm expecting a letter of complaint from the forestry commission any day...Grin

Also, my fanjo to choose to do with as I please, be it reducing hair or adorning it with jubilee flags Hmm
