Because yet again I have the most horrific shaving rash! He says he doesn't mind but I do... Now I feel silly Blush

While we're here does anyone else suffer from the BURN and HORRID ingrown hairs? How do you prevent them.. I'm sick to death.

I wish I could just go all european and not do hair removal but it makes me itchy thinking about it.

OP posts:
yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 17:16

I agree, Hilly, that many women do care what men think. That's not what I meant by my post.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 17:19

I've posted similar, alot of men don't care, if women want to do it that's their choice and that as long as their getting some they are happy and you didn't jump all over me.

As for feminism, how many times do people need to say they do it through their own choice before you get it?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 17:21

Agree with yellow on this one. I nearly gave the chap a hard time too.

But I thought about it and decided he had just worded his post badly and might be agreeing with what we already know, which is that not all women shave for men.

He deserves a bit of beef for the wink alone.

Krumbum · 30/05/2012 17:22

Becausw it's not true.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 17:25

What's not true?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 17:29

Hiya krumbum you havent been back since your dodgy stats got mentioned.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 17:30

Moominsarescary, I'm happy to accept that it's through your own choice as I believe I've stated, oh, about 30 times now.

Maybe the way you posted it didn't inspire me to answer. If you feel left out, I'm happy to jump on you too.

What I don't accept is that people make these choices completely of their own volition without any sort of influence from society. If that makes you feel bad, or you disagree, what can I say? I studied sociology, I studied philosophy, I haven't just come up with these ideas from nowhere and they are my beliefs. You're more than welcome to have your own, there's no need to try to convince me.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 17:30

Perhaps she was busy having a life, WhosPickleisThatOnion?

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 17:33

Ah thought this new spirit of peace was going to be short lived.

Im sure she can answer for herself, if she wants to.

Or do you support exaggerating rape reports to score points on a discussion about fanny hair?

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 17:39

I find it deeply rude and annoying when posters get jumped on for not being on mn every single day, as if they have been avoiding the discussion because they have been owned.

Just because you weren't talking directly to me doesn't mean I can't point out your rudeness.

That's a very leading question, isn't it?

valiumredhead · 30/05/2012 17:42

Do you mean to say there are actually posters who aren't on MN ever single day? Shock Wink

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 17:48

It was a fair point that I made. She quoted incorrect stats and hasnt yet answered the question that was put about them. One poster was very upset about it.

I hardly JUMPED on her. What an exaggeration!

If she is offended let her tell me so herself. I'm all ears here.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 17:52

So what about those who leave it natural? Who are they influenced by?

So what if you studied sociology and philosophy? I studied sociology and psychology. If you have you will know that plenty of people choose not to conform to social pressures. If they didn't we would all have the same hair/lack of hair.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 17:53

I didn't mean "jumped on" in any kind of exaggerated way. I meant you criticised her. I'm not saying it wasn't a fair point, I'm saying it's not fair to suggest that everyone should be on mn 24 hours a day every day.

Anyway, la la la la la la la la.

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 17:56

Moomins, you really don't need to be so rude. I wasn't trying to suggest I know more than people because I studied stuff. I meant that I have based my opinions on facts, not just randomly plucked them from thin air.

Of course people who leave it natural are influenced by society too. I'm shocked you'd think that I wasn't applying it both ways.

I wouldn't agree that there are many people who don't conform in one way or another. From your studies, you will know that the vast vast majority of people are part of some sort of society, however small it may be.

Debeezandbirds · 30/05/2012 17:56

Mittzopachycephalosaurus Mon 28-May-12 23:08:15 Bloody good point!

BertieBotts "There is no hair on the clitoris. If you're getting a mouthful of hair, you're doing it wrong."
If you think the only sensitive part of a vagina if the clit, you're doing it wrong. As other posters pointed our oral isn't all about the mouth, but when your DP has a tongue stud..... :o

Worra Can my fanjo also have a xmas card? :o

"stupid things women do to themselves in order to make them more acceptable to men because they have been told men won't like them otherwise."

MaleLurker "You do realize that men don't really care?" Yes we realise, we like doing it anyway :o

Krumbum · 30/05/2012 18:00

Yeah mate I was having a life. I realise I made a mistake, i apologise. but it doesn't discount the point which was of sexuall oppression as cumulative. Women are put in a state of weakness by the controlling aspects of patriarchical sexuality and this is part of our rape culture. What was the question I was asked? I don't know how far back it is on the many pages.

Debeezandbirds · 30/05/2012 18:00

It was me that jumped on Krumbum but to be fair if you read can find my posts which stated why I was so upset by the stats politely, then was sent a report to read, which I was already familiar with, and again told I didn't understand the bloody thing I felt it necessarily to explain exactly why the exaggeration rape figures is just as dangerous to the cause as those who deny or underplay the seriousness of the problem. And the fact it was done to score a point on a thread about someone's fanny......

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 18:02

Moonmin, only yellow is allowed to be rude and get all offended!

Come on now!

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 18:03

I don't know, WhosPickleisThatOnion, you're doing a pretty good job of being rude yourself.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 18:03

Point above kumbrum

I didn't mean that you had to sit on here for days at a time, but since your back I brought it back up.

Krumbum · 30/05/2012 18:06

Yes I misread it and put every year which wasn't correct. I agree with you debeezandbirds and apologise.

Debeezandbirds · 30/05/2012 18:08

Thank you Krumbum

Respect.

Moominsarescary · 30/05/2012 18:08

Why is that rude? Why bring it up In the first place?

Were not talking about not conforming in anyway. We are talking about shaving fanny hair. Is there a society out there for bold fannys?

yellowraincoat · 30/05/2012 18:09

I don't know about bold ones. Bald ones, maybe.

Bit rude to say "so what?" isn't it? Or would you be happy if someone said that to you.
