Haha, realise I am probably going to get shot down in flames for being self-indulgent and attention seeking, but hope for a few answers also....

I build up a picture of MNets in my head from what they write, how they write and the subjects they post on. Sometimes I come across an opinion on a thread from a poster that really suprises me because Otto doesn't fit with the impression I had of that poster and so my poster persona evolves. I love eclectic 'odd' people in RL, so I really enjoy not being able to pigeon hole people

I have always been a bit fascinated by how other peoples interpretations of words and actions can be very different from the intention. And also how people can be very different depending what company they are in....

So, it occurred to me today, MN is a perfect opportunity to ask alias of people 'what do you think of me?' (if anything)!

I have a diffuser for for loose teas, a tea ball for homemade teas (raspberry leaf, wintergeen, that sort of thing) and four different sized tea pots, also a french press that gets called into action on occasion.

And I work in a little tea shop down by the boardwalkGrin (pic of it on my profile)

wannabeamillionaire · 17/05/2012 23:44

??

hopkinette · 17/05/2012 23:44

That would not make me feel relaxed and happy. It would make me feel really uncomfortable and awkward. I'd sweat copiously and feel like an ignoramus for not knowing anything about tea and I'd worry about choosing the wrong one, like a blend that was inappropriate for the time of day or something. Unless the types you're talking about are PG Tips, Yorkshire, Yorkshire Extra Strong, Tesco Value etc, in which case I'd feel like an expert.

ClassFree · 17/05/2012 23:44

No Grin Fargo is a northern mid west accent, ya know?

Newfie (Newfoundland) is East coast, Jeezus by'

hopkinette · 17/05/2012 23:46

Ah, you work in a tea shop. That puts a totally different aspect on it.

titfortat · 17/05/2012 23:47

Oh dear. I thought you meant meals...

It is basic tea or coffee here. Or water, with a splash of a variety of juices I always have in. Don't like it, they can find themselves a tea shop.

ClassFree · 17/05/2012 23:48

The menu does have PG, Teatly, and the like. It just also has fruit teas, chai, white, red and green and stuff.
I don't hover like a waiter, btw!

Kayano · 17/05/2012 23:48

I don't
Think people know who I am because

THEY ALWAYS SPELL KAYANO WRONG

It's
Not
HARD!!! Lol

ClassFree · 17/05/2012 23:48

I just started working in the tea shop, last month. I love it!

titfortat · 17/05/2012 23:50

You mean, there are actually that many different types of tea?

Wow.

ClassFree · 17/05/2012 23:55

There are, titfortat Smile

Oh, and above, it should say 'tetly' not teatly Grin I am shit at proofreading!

titfortat · 17/05/2012 23:57

Isn't it Tetley? Or is that another one I have never heard of?

titfortat · 17/05/2012 23:58

(Genuine question btw. Not trying to pick at spelling or anything)

bejeezus · 17/05/2012 23:59

Grin hopkin

I couldn't make a decision between that many. I'd have to have at least 4 different cups. You'd never get rid of me

Your tea shop looks lush. I wish I lived near a 'boardwalk', such a nice world. See I have a picture of you now- very calm and contained and content and all wrapped up in a massive down jacket on a cold but clear day-to-day clipping to work down the board walk, cheerily greeting the fishermen.....

Is that your life?

OP posts:
ClassFree · 18/05/2012 00:03

Well, I drive to work, but I do walk the boardwalk on my break! And I watch the fishing boats and lobster boats coming in an out. And I check the tide levels throughout the day Grin
I bake lots of scones and carrot cakes and make pies, and brew shitloads of tea and coffee! I love chatting with my regulars, and welcoming first timers too.
It is a great set up, but I do end the day exhausted and my feet don't stop aching!

Morloth · 18/05/2012 00:08

Waits for invite to ClassFree's house. I really appreciate it when other people realise that tea is serious business.

I don't have a tea menu, but I do have many different types as well as the pot, little pot (for when I am alone), ball, diffuser etc.

I do however keep a box of Bushells in the cupboard for my mum along with a jar of Maccona for my FIL.

Tea is civilisation IMO.

RightBuggerforit reasonable?? Worra fuckin liberty Shock Wink

ClassFree I'd love to see your tea menu. I know for a fact I wouldn't order anything other than PG Tips or some sort of Yorkshire tea but all the same it sounds fascinating Grin

bejeezus · 18/05/2012 00:16

I think secondcoming that we have crossed swords- did you used to have a picture of a scary doll on gourd profile? If you is she then we have strongly disagreed and strongly agreed on subjects. I recognise your name, even if that's not you. I like your style.

hopkinette · 18/05/2012 00:18

I also want ClassFree's life as envisaged by bejeezus :(

ClassFree, let me know if you ever find a way to make your feet stop aching, I had the whole day off today and they're still hurting.

bejeezus · 18/05/2012 00:19

If any of you find yourselves in Nova Scotia, you are welcome to drop in for a tea! Smile
I am still trying to find a way to soothe my feet, hot soaks work for a bit, but not long enough!

WorraLiberty · 18/05/2012 00:24

I've found myself in stranger places after a night on the wine Blush
