to ask you, what is your impression of me?

Haha, realise I am probably going to get shot down in flames for being self-indulgent and attention seeking, but hope for a few answers also....

I build up a picture of MNets in my head from what they write, how they write and the subjects they post on. Sometimes I come across an opinion on a thread from a poster that really suprises me because Otto doesn't fit with the impression I had of that poster and so my poster persona evolves. I love eclectic 'odd' people in RL, so I really enjoy not being able to pigeon hole people

I have always been a bit fascinated by how other peoples interpretations of words and actions can be very different from the intention. And also how people can be very different depending what company they are in....

So, it occurred to me today, MN is a perfect opportunity to ask alias of people 'what do you think of me?' (if anything)!

Op also say your username in an Irish accent. I can't say the name "Michael" either without an Irsh accent. In my head it is absolutely "MOICHOL!" (including in an over loud shouty voive Confused

Worra, Hully and Warren often make me snort wine tea (good ol' PGtips) as does SarahStratten

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/05/2012 11:33

strandedbear - Sorry to hear that. You are gorgeous looking too

Shakey1500 · 18/05/2012 11:36

QuintessentialShadows · 18/05/2012 11:37

Thats fine Hully is of course right. Me and you Hully, we look quite similar. I am just slightly taller.

And of course with more bounce in my hair. Wink

OrmIrian · 18/05/2012 11:37

bejeezus - I recognise you but i don't remember any really horrible or irritation posts with your name on it. Which IMO is a Jolly Good Thing. Maybe you are like me? I specialize in unmemorable but largely inoffensive. I haven't been murdered yet so I guess it works...

ThisIsYourSong · 18/05/2012 11:38

I just don't understand why your OP has Otto in the middle of it, and no one has mentioned it. Am I missing some secret MN thing to drop Otto into posts?

OrmIrian · 18/05/2012 11:38

Think magnolia emulsion.

shewhowines · 18/05/2012 11:38

I think you are ballsy and very opinionated (not a bad thing) and I think you probably have some personal issues that have shaped your arguments.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/05/2012 11:38

MNers have been murdered for their posts Shock

OrmIrian · 18/05/2012 11:40

Oh yes eats! Loads of them. But MN towers covers it up and recruits a replacement in secret. it's a massive conspiracy

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/05/2012 11:41

Oh no!!!

emails MNHQ promising faithfully to only post nice fluffy posts from now on

inmysparetime · 18/05/2012 11:41

Probably autocorrect of it or some such word.

I'm reasonably prolific, do me!!

dovebird · 18/05/2012 11:43

i dont think ive come across you before op.

but from your name alone id say you have a good bit of humor thereSmile

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/05/2012 11:46

Hully - wisely perhaps you have not put any photos on your profile. But I always imagine you in your 50's, living in a bunglalow decorated with those realistic looking dolls and Mning and sewing new floral pinnies as you wait for your DH to get home from work. You intersperse this with a bit of gentle gardening and arranging flowers picked from your garden, you love bargain hunt and you bake some gorgeous cakes - which may account for your generous figure.

Your hair is that light blondey way when hair dyes have been used to cover the grey and you favour comfortable sandals as footwear as you have bad feet. You have no children, but you randomly stroke and touch strangers babies leading to many bonkers irate AIBU threads.

Am I right?

Hullygully · 18/05/2012 11:49

Yes!

Amazeballs.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/05/2012 11:50

I knew it!

TheCreepingLurgy · 18/05/2012 12:04

I think people who start memorable threads should name themselves after their thread. That would help us all remember and form an opinion!

ClassFree should definitely have something with Tea Menus in her name. I'd never noticed her name before, and I'm sure I will forget again, but the tea menus are excellent to remember her by!

Although, some names are stick in your head better than others, which may be a reflection of the name rather than the posts. Bejeezus falls in this category, so while recognisable, no opinion. Others I recognise when they are prolific and opinionated posters, and that's all that I think of them. Prolific and opinionated, which makes for good times on MN!

dovebird · 18/05/2012 12:07

why has lequeen had a hard life?
i've never got that impression.

dovebird · 18/05/2012 12:08

expat in scotland i imagine living in a large caravan in beautiful surroundings, she jas short brown hair, bit on the lump side pegging out her washing on the line

BeaWheesht · 18/05/2012 12:11

Oh I want someone to do me not literally but I'm a namechanger so I suspect no-ones noticed me.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/05/2012 12:15

BeaWheesht - Scottish, late 20's with 2 kids, slightly hippylike with a messy house and a laid back attitude
