Haha, realise I am probably going to get shot down in flames for being self-indulgent and attention seeking, but hope for a few answers also....

I build up a picture of MNets in my head from what they write, how they write and the subjects they post on. Sometimes I come across an opinion on a thread from a poster that really suprises me because Otto doesn't fit with the impression I had of that poster and so my poster persona evolves. I love eclectic 'odd' people in RL, so I really enjoy not being able to pigeon hole people

I have always been a bit fascinated by how other peoples interpretations of words and actions can be very different from the intention. And also how people can be very different depending what company they are in....

So, it occurred to me today, MN is a perfect opportunity to ask alias of people 'what do you think of me?' (if anything)!

I only really notice people who annoy me,though it's a pretty long list. You're not on there.Grin But I am familiar with your name, though have no particular associations.

FreudianSlipper · 17/05/2012 22:59

i notice a lot of crawly crawly bumbum licking toward some and it is really pathetic creepy

i like that you can argue and argue your point and you stick to it rather then agree to disagree

RightBuggerforit · 17/05/2012 23:00

I'm new here and don't remember or have an opinion about anybody, except WorraLiberty. I saw one post from her and noticed it particularly because I thought she sounded like a bit of a rude bitch. However, I've since seen loads more of her posts and she's usually very reasonable and often hilarious. :)

irishchic · 17/05/2012 23:00

Well, let me see..I think that, ...ah god I just can't be bothered actually!

fussbucket · 17/05/2012 23:00

I recognise some names above...bejeezus, FreudianSlipper, Flisspaps, MyNameIsntFUCKINGWarren, bibbitybobbitybunny and tethersend. But only because they are nns I've seen on other threads that have stuck in my mind, not for any particular ongoing characteristics.
I also know my user number has five digits and begins with a 9. But then my invoices have four digits and I started them at no. 1150 so as to look a bit more established than I really was.
There are four or five regular posters that I can 'see' what they're likely to say before I read their posts, WorraLiberty's one, DOinmecleanins another, also GetOrfMyLand, JustHecate in her various incarnations, ChaosTrulyReigns, SarahStratton...

hopkinette · 17/05/2012 23:03

I recognise your username but I don't have any real impression of you, sorry :( I think we should be allowed user pics because I can't really remember people on here very well at all.

Having said that I fucking LOVE MyNameIsn'tFUCKINGWarren and I really like GetOrf.

fussbucket - whenever I see your name, I have to say bus fuckit.

Was that your intention? Grin

I do have a problem with spoonerisms, mind you.

bejeezus · 17/05/2012 23:07

what i cant bear are people who have hugely offensive opinions, but think that is alright, because they are very polite. They make me swear

cant think of usernames to attribute that to right now though...

OP posts:
titfortat · 17/05/2012 23:07

I don't really look at usernames unless directly replying to them. Which I have with LeQueen a lot. I think I did with you too the other day bejeezus, once, on the swimming changing room thread. All I recall is that I agreed with you mostly, but was just arguing a certain aspect after you asked a question. Not enough to base an opinion on mind you.

bejeezus · 17/05/2012 23:09

yeah...i think this was probably pretty pointless...there are just too many people on here arent there....

i gets a bit confused with some usernames that sound the same too

Is this a list of who is who in mumsnet :) Who post's the better/interesting/feisty/argumentative posts... IF that is the case..... sorry do not recognize you...... yet carry on posting :)

5318008 · 17/05/2012 23:12

ah now, hugely offensive posts should be challenged, or reported.

[inserts I recall when all round here were fields blah blah]

MordecaiAndTheRigbys · 17/05/2012 23:14

I dont know your name well enough that I would have an opinion of you but..

I have formed one of you know based on this thread, sorry! It smacks of "validate me validate me!" kind of behaviour I hate, like teenagers who post their duckface pics on line and say "do I look pretty?". And I am not having a go, Im not, but it would make me avoid your posts in future and if I were to come across your opinion here, I would probably 'value'(if that is the right word) it less because when I now picture you, I picture a neurotic mess who needs strangers on the internet to define them.

Sorry.

TuftyFinch · 17/05/2012 23:22

I think you have long hair and short legs. Is that what you were getting at?

ClassFree · 17/05/2012 23:23

Bejeezus, I always say your name with a Newfie accent! I haven't read enough of your posts to get a strong reading one way or the other, but you have never shown up on my shit list Grin

I had always thought I was just like all the other MNers, and that got blown out of the water pretty fast Grin Under my previous nn, I started a thread about tea menus. It turned out, after 4 or 5 pages, not one other poster had one for at home, and many, many posters commented about how weird I was (or "odd, but in a nice way")
I wasn't trying to stand out, but it wasn't so bad Grin

hopkinette · 17/05/2012 23:28

ClassFree what do you mean by a tea menu?

5318008 · 17/05/2012 23:30

I have a menu of all of the teas that I have on hand, for when I have guests. i usually have 30 or 40 types of tea, so it saves me from standing in front of the tea cupboard calling out all the names. It can make a guest feel pressured to choose quickly, before they forget all of the types.
This way, I can hand them a menu, and let them take their time selecting, and answer any questions they may have, before they chooseSmile
I like to make everyone feel relaxed and happy!
I don't have a menu for sweet treats though, those change day-to day

wannabeamillionaire · 17/05/2012 23:37

((yawn)) knew i should of gone to bed early :)

bejeezus · 17/05/2012 23:39

You were suprised that not everyone has a tea menu? Grin

OP posts:
5318008 · 17/05/2012 23:39
