Haha, realise I am probably going to get shot down in flames for being self-indulgent and attention seeking, but hope for a few answers also....

I build up a picture of MNets in my head from what they write, how they write and the subjects they post on. Sometimes I come across an opinion on a thread from a poster that really suprises me because Otto doesn't fit with the impression I had of that poster and so my poster persona evolves. I love eclectic 'odd' people in RL, so I really enjoy not being able to pigeon hole people

I have always been a bit fascinated by how other peoples interpretations of words and actions can be very different from the intention. And also how people can be very different depending what company they are in....

So, it occurred to me today, MN is a perfect opportunity to ask alias of people 'what do you think of me?' (if anything)!

Blush ah thanks eats :) I like that description

It's funny as I haven't been a goth for twenty years but I must still look like one as everyone say that and I just must not be able to shake it. Is perhaps my addiction to badly applied wonky eye liner Grin

I imagine you to be about 28, with a really sharp hair cut, assertive and confident but kind, v funny and sassy

OAM2009 · 18/05/2012 21:49

Only read first 4 pages (!) so apologies if I'm out of date Smile

OP, I remember you - your telling-off gave me insomnia!!! (from a thread I posted - " bejeezus...I have been chewing over worrying about what you wrote since I read it on Sat night!" I think you must be Irish and I imagine you as a practical, no-nonsense thirtysomething with 3 kids.

I also try and imagine what people are like thru their posts. Despite never ever ever being able to remember anyone's name in RL, I do usually remember poster's names, especially if they comment on my posts. Several MNers have been very kind and thoughtful and I think they're ace but I won't name names for fear of embarrassing them! Grin

PS DO ME! Joined MN in January 2012. Outed in RL by April 2012. That must be some kind of record Sad

Eatsbrains
Don't be intimidated. I am truly not all that. Honest.

I am more confident now than I used to be but that has really come in the past year. I strive for elegance and poise but generally trip over a cable or a step when walking across the room :)

titfortat · 18/05/2012 23:32

Yes AmazingBouncingFerret, I am that sad that I have constantly changed my nickname to talk to myself on a few threads Hmm

I have only been here a few weeks. I have only been apart of a few threads. A couple which LeQueen has been apart of and going by what she has posted about her history, that is what I have judged my opinion on.

I didn't realise that having a different, albeit maybe wrong, opinion was something which meant you hid behind another nickname.

As I said, I am new. She could be the face of a wanted poster for all I know. It isn't like my opinion even matters in the grand scheme of it. It is the internet, not real life so couldn't give a toss whether the next poster is a lovely one, or a twunt. Isn't going to affect me, is it?

Emphaticmaybe · 19/05/2012 00:51

Ooh every one on here takes on the identity of celebs in my head. At the moment I've got:
Hully - Sharon Horgan
exoticfruits -a young and feisty Joan Bakewell
Lequeen- Samantha Cameron's younger sister
Pagwatch- a sweary princess Anne because everyone refers to her as royalty
Beejesus - love your name and because of the Irish thing you are now Dervla Kirwan(sp?) I'm not sure why
Warren -you are a young Zoe Ball

Does anyone else do this or is it just me? Hope I'm not being a twunt titfortat, if I am it's because I'm new and I don't know any betterWink

Oh and my DH took one look at my username and said 'trying too hard',Blush

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 19/05/2012 09:00

emphaticmaybe - Your DH is wrong, your NN is very MN.

titfortat - Welcome to NN. There have been lots and lots of name changes recently, ignore the fact that you were accused of this. And yes your opinion matters. Your post could be the insightful one that makes an OP change her mind or gives comfort to a poster at the end of her tether.

OAM2009 - Yes that must be a record for being outed. Poor you! What does OAM stand for?

Binkybix · 19/05/2012 09:27

I'm quite new, don't post much. Recognise bejesus name but no firm impression really. I remember catgirl from he thread about things people waste money on. I loved that thread!

catgirl1976 · 19/05/2012 09:30

I loved that thread too, but my bank balance is glad it has finished Grin

theodorakis · 19/05/2012 09:52

Bejezzus, I like you, I am a little scared of you but not as scared as when reading about the person who gave worra a biscuit! A little tiny bit of wee seeped out reading that!

OAM2009 · 19/05/2012 10:05

EatsBrainsAndLeaves, Thanks yes, wasn't much fun! Sad Perhaps I should start a thread on fastest outings!

OAM is medical terminology, used to be written on the notes of not-very-ill babies who seemed to visit the dr or hospital or not. stands for Over Anxious Mum Wink Grin 2009 is when I became one.

PS I thought EatsBrainsThenLeaves was funny too!

OAM2009 · 19/05/2012 10:06

Blush should read "...visit the dr or hospital a lot." Blush

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 19/05/2012 10:17

Theodorakis ..you aren't scared of Worra are you? I often disagree with her but I think she is a big softie really..

NowThenWreck · 19/05/2012 11:20

I am pretty sure that Pepe Le Pews girlfriend was a cat..?
Maybe Coco Le Pew is his sister?

Anyway. Hello bejeezus. I don't know you but I am sure you are very lovely.

Binkybix · 19/05/2012 11:28

Waves back to catgirl :)

Nagoo · 19/05/2012 11:47

kayano moaning about her name reminds me of voodoo queens song.

keannu keneno kanuweee kanoonoo Grin

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 19/05/2012 13:51

catgirl - thank you. I am a bit a lot older than 28, but thanks
