To ask DH to kern the amount of time he spends having a poo?

Honestly, he's made it into an art form and quite literally EVERYTHING he does is punctuated with a visit to the toilet, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes upwards of an hour ?????

It really really pisses me off at times. Like tonight for example, DH are you ready to take me to the supermarket?? Yes dear I'll be two mins, just in the loo.......

We go shopping, we get back, DH can you please bring upstairs the 3 baskets of washing I have washed dried and ironed today? They're quite heavy and I'm 39+4....... Yes dear I'm just on the loo but I'll bring them up before workmate gets here to go through various quotes.......

20 mins later, ding dong...... Toilet flushes, DH let's in workmate.

It's ok DH, I've just changed a kingsize bed all by myself, I'll carry the washing up on my own now........ Grrrrrrrrr!!!!

Is this a man thing or just my man???? What I wouldn't give for 10-15 x 30 min toilet breaks every day (averaged out obviously)!!

It's strange how that bathroom is a man's sanctuary. My Husband actually goes in armed with my Take A Break and a pen and kisses me like he's leaving his house on his way there.

"It's strange how that bathroom is a man's sanctuary"

Indeed!

Is it the only room with a door that locks?

I retreat to the bedroom to read in peace & comfort!

The vast majoroty of them are not crapping for all that time they are reading or the modern day equivalent smart phones

My brother used to do this, he had comics hidden behind some panelling!

I dont see the attraction personally, I like to do the do and get out quick.

I think they do it to 'get away' from it all particularly the ones that do it when they get in from work, I thik its part of their winding down process!

DH is a very polite poo-er but feels the pressure to perform when it comes to peeing. We only have one (ridiculously tiny) bathroom so if I'm in the bath and he needs to pee would never ask to poo after I went berserk at him shortly after we got married he um, takes his time. He once asked me to get out of the bath so he could pee in private. We've settled on drawing the shower curtain between us.

Well I think that they do it because they can.

I think I used to take longer pre children-then you just (imo) get used to doing this stuff PDQ & getting back to the kids.

Wonder if these men take the poo piss like this at work?

Great thread...loved it!

My DH is a functional pooer....but can take up to an hour in the shower....

Sometimes after 30 mins I have been know to go up and see what is happening...usually he is not even in the shower at this point and is engaging in beard fondling....

diddl · 24/04/2012 12:27

"and is engaging in beard fondling..."

Is that a euphemism?BlushGrin
