ACCOUNTABLE!!

Oh my God, you really are mad.

OhKit · 18/03/2012 16:57

You're an idiot.

OTheHugeManatee · 18/03/2012 17:01

Next you'll be suggesting that adults sue their parents for retrospective loss of earnings because their attachment style has left them unsuited to a demanding job Hmm

Like I said - if you're not happy with the way you were raised get a psychotherapist, not a solicitor. It's cheaper and will bring you more peace in the long term.

HTH Smile

Oh, and it's 'ricochet' Wink

Haziedoll · 18/03/2012 17:18

Oh Ricochet. I feel really sorry for you, I really do. What if your children want to sue you for being dull? You bf them, okay thats good but you also bored the tits off them. Those long winter evenings must just fly by in your house (yawn).

cory · 18/03/2012 17:38

Still no answer. Am I accountable or am I not? You really don't want to answer that one, do you?

exoticfruits · 18/03/2012 17:42

I doubt you will get an answer, cory.

ledkr · 18/03/2012 17:58

No she wont.I have noticed on threads like this people are quite happy to shove their warped opinions down peoples throats but will not answer challenging questions asked by others.
It is a very good question as well.

OriginalJamie · 18/03/2012 17:59

Well, I think my Mum feels well and truly ashamed of herself for the great harm inflicted on me by the bottle, and has buggered off home. And I'm not talking to the children...

exoticfruits · 18/03/2012 18:00

I think it an excellent question-which is why I hate it to be ignored. People make silly statements and ignore challenging questions.

DartsAgain · 18/03/2012 18:10

What about those mothers who can't bf. Like a friend of mine who has had a double masectomy after getting breast cancer quite young and who was lucky enough to survive and have a child. She gets some judgey remarks from people who don't know but she doesn't want to keep explaining herself all the time.

I've seen other posts over the years mentioning similar so it's certainly happened to more than one person.

Richocet · 18/03/2012 18:15

I've answered Hmm

ledkr · 18/03/2012 18:17

darts happend to me too.We dont matter though as we are in the minority.

Sorry op i missed your reply can you c and p?

Richocet · 18/03/2012 18:18

I'm curious about those 'reporting'. Are you also reporting the personal attacks, and offensive remarks, too. I find the term 'nazi' to be incredibly offensive.

Richocet · 18/03/2012 18:19

12.01.

OP posts:
Stonesour · 18/03/2012 18:20

wow the op on this thread is barking

OriginalJamie · 18/03/2012 18:24

Richochet report it then

Richocet · 18/03/2012 18:25

Does anyone on this thread actually believe formula to be as good as bm?

No (we I hope not, else it'd be mighty hypocritical calling me ignorant)

Do you think if a woman has a CHOICE, free from medical complications, that its fair of her to choose the nutritionally inadequate feeding alternative?

OP posts:
Richocet · 18/03/2012 18:27

I'm not entirely that bothered, but seeing as most of you are concerned about others whom may come across this thread and take offence, I take it it already has been reported.

I combination feed. I couldn't care less what you think. I have no idea why you care what other women do with their own children.

Although next time someone asks me to define "frothing" I will link them to this thread, so that's useful

Richocet · 18/03/2012 18:33

What about the babies choice?

OP posts:
OriginalJamie · 18/03/2012 18:34

Richochet - nope. I don't think formula is as good as breastmilk. I chose it with the full knowledge that it's not as good as breastmilk. Others had no choice but to FF. So this terrible marketing by Formula companies you talk about clearly hasn't had an effect has it? Some of us believe that, weighed against many other factors, Formula is good enough. Not harmful in the way you wish to suggest, weighed against many other factors which influence the health and well-being of babies and their mothers.

This breast is best message, is, on the other hand out there.

You could have chosen to start a thread about why people fail to bf, or choose not to, and you've ignored several arguments as to why that is the case.

You've also ignored the anguish of several people who dearly wished to breastfeed and are made to feel guilty about their "failure".

catgirl1976 · 18/03/2012 18:34

The babies choice?

Is it like the Pepsi challenge?

OriginalJamie · 18/03/2012 18:37

And, in fact, you've potentially added to that feeling of anguish by starting a thread with a crass and illogical title. So I don't really feel any of us should have to justify ourselves to you.
