Just seen his face on bbciplayer being interviewed by Mark lawson. When did this skinny smug poo smear become a national treasure or whatever? And don't even l,et me remember the days when he hung out with the Baddiel thing and it was like a version of those boys at school who were nasty little sneering sods, sat in the corner being vile.
sorry. just don't like the man. will not watch room 101 because of him. what was wrong with Paul Merton, now he is nice.

DH hates FS with a passion and has to leave the room if he's on telly.

He has even usurped his previously unfathomable dislike of Les Dennis, which i wouldn't have thought possible.

I used to like Brand, even saw him live, now i can't stand him. He just tries too too hard. And he can't carry on playing the same sort of character in film s for much longer.

RocketTheDoorDog · 14/03/2012 12:17

Phew seeker! Nc-er here, but I always seem to agree with your posts and I was about to be disillusioned! Grin

RocketTheDoorDog · 14/03/2012 12:27

And op, yanbu to dislike him, but it's not unfathomable.

Proudnscary · 14/03/2012 12:33

Hate him

Sparklingbrook · 14/03/2012 12:38

Oh Lottie can you balance it out and tell me about someone who was nice to work with? To make me less sad. Sad

SardineQueen · 14/03/2012 12:45

Wow I can't stand him either. Whenever he comes on the telly I start ranting onto DH about how I loathe him and I don't really know why. Just something about him, I always switch over. REALLY annoyed he's doing room 101 as I can't watch it any more.

Now I have read about his autobiography it seems that my spidey sense was correct to make me veer away from even the sight of his face. He sounds really creepy.

Is that him here on the thread as well? Strange to have at your fingertips exactly the year he gave up drinking...

londonlottie · 14/03/2012 12:46

Most of the people I worked with were nice enough Wink. No, they mostly were... if a little dull. But then I think most presenters have to be dull to get on.

TheOldestCat · 14/03/2012 12:52

Another one who wasn't a fan of the laddish stuff, but now likes Frank Skinner on the radio. I find him most amusing Grin

And I like David Baddiel too.

Ben Elton is posh - my mum says so and she taught him English (at a grammar school).

Cathynclaire · 14/03/2012 12:53

Rob Newman - met him once and he really is an arrogant arse!

Frank Skinner - hasn't he got a thing about anal sex (with women)?

ArielNonBio · 14/03/2012 13:00

Ooh me too Cathynclaire - we interviewed him for our uni paper and he was a sleazy twat.

David Baddiel has a thing about anal too - I seem to remember quite a graphic description in one of his books about a bloke doing it with his girlfriend.

Sparklingbrook · 14/03/2012 13:02

I am pleased to hear that lottie. One day someone is going to come on here and say Gareth Malone is horrid and then I would be sobbing.

ArielNonBio · 14/03/2012 13:02

I said "uni" Blush

Sparklingbrook · 14/03/2012 13:03

Is 'uni' wrong Ariel?

lolaflores · 14/03/2012 13:03

I remember the book he did about the man with insomnia. went into frnakly unecessary detail about his wife licking his bum hole. Ewwwww

OP posts:
Camerondiazepam · 14/03/2012 13:09

I think the quote was "women over 30 are rough as old arseholes".

Can't think why it stuck in my brain.

londonlottie · 14/03/2012 13:10

Although can I just sidetrack briefly to express my intense dislike for Davina McCall. Angry Went on holiday with a male friend once, who happens to be good friends with her Hmm She called his mobile while he was in the shower one time, so I answered his phone and was running around the apartment trying to get a signal so I could take a message. I was REALLY nice to her because they are friends, and managed to make myself heard that I'd get him to call her back. When they eventually spoke, he told me that she'd said 'who are you on holiday with? Because she sounded REALLY jealous to hear that it was me on the phone.' Angry

As you were. Blush

ArielNonBio · 14/03/2012 13:11

Sparklingbrook, it always features on those "Words I hate" threads along with hun, hubby and bubs.

Sparklingbrook · 14/03/2012 13:12

Did she say 'now listen' Lottie? Grin Have no opinion of her really, except she is probably v annoying.

Vaffanculo · 14/03/2012 13:12
Shock

What. A. Nobber.

Sparklingbrook · 14/03/2012 13:13

That's ok then Ariel-thought it might be a MN crime I didn't know about. Grin

EmmaCate · 14/03/2012 13:13

By definition (to me anyway, through use of 'unfathomable') YABU. If it's any consolation though I also felt this way about him. Recently, bizarrely, I've changed allegiance and find him OK.

hopkin · 14/03/2012 13:23

Cameraondiazepam - yep, that was it: single women over 30 are rough as arseholes. This coming from a man who is, well...

I fucking despise him. He is repulsive in every single way.

MamaMary · 14/03/2012 13:27

Never particularly warmed to him, but didn't he come out at one point several years ago and say he wasn't going to swear anymore and that comedians don't need to swear so much? I respected him a bit more after that.

bleedingheart · 14/03/2012 13:29

When he isn't speaking (and sometimes when he is) his mouth is slightly pursed as if he hasn't got enough teeth. It isn't his fault but it is unpleasant. That is all.

seeker · 14/03/2012 13:31

Oh, god, I am so ashqmd that I find him funny.Blush But I do like puns.
