Oh the memories!! still reading Lissieloo's link

I loved Bikesheds, for all that it was relatively shortlived. UKP was my first parenting forum,Mumsnet was the second :)

Maryz does "story tellers" cover researchers or should that be category no. 4?

Really?

nkf · 02/03/2012 22:15

They're fairly easy to spot though aren't they? I mean, they usually begin, "I've name changed for this..."

And then follows some ludicrous soap opera story line. And the troll is quite literate but the way they talk about the dilemma suggests she/he has no sense at all.

Latara · 02/03/2012 22:17

Sorry Lesley, took u literally when u asked about poo-stirrers.. doh! My mind was on lots of stuff today as usual.. so most trollery passes me by..
IME in RL those who shout the loudest about their problems are usually coping ok & just seeking attention; must be similar online i reckon?

lisaro · 02/03/2012 22:17

I've ended up just posting serious-like on teenagers. There's lots of genuine people there need hand-holding. (I should know, I've got two teenagers and some days are really bloody crap.)

It fucks me off that someone could be at their wits' end and get exploited by ... others.

Apart from the odd fuckwit who comes along with "you reap what you sow" or "I blame the parents"...

You are, actually, describing my DD's Headteacher.

I need a good talking to!

Every day is like a magical mystery tour.

I think that trolls looking for a reaction from someone who feels that their family is falling apart need compulsory therapy. With my mother.
