Or am I just too old

The problem Hully is that genuine posters get called trolls. I know because I was disbelieved. So although some stuff like the zeebrugge thread or the poo ones are fairly obvious trolls, others aren't that different from genuine posters where unbelievable sounding things actually happen.

Hullygully · 02/03/2012 09:26

I know lesley.

I don't believe anyone any more unless I "know" them, sad but true.

If I had posted what had happened to me over the past year no one would believe me. They would think I was making it up/exaggerating. So I don't bother asking for advise etc as I'm not very "well known" on here and worry people would shout "Big fat troll"

Having said that, if I did post I wouldn't do so in AIBU. I think posting there about serious issues a bit of a clue to trollery.

Hullygully · 02/03/2012 09:38

I know your name. I'd believe you.

And that's all that matters of course Grin

I think if anybody posted the genuine events of their lives on here it could sound trollish. Because life is riddled with illness and affairs and loss and heartbreak and weird coincidences and just weirdness. It's the manner of the posting isn't it.

I think really we should just have a virtual stamp which is passed between approved MNers. We can then give our approval to each thread as it happens, or not, and then the people frothing about royalty and cliques would have something concrete to rattle on about too. Everybody's a winner.

I'm only half joking.

It's not the posts that I don't believe - it's the fact that people think the way they do.

Hullygully · 02/03/2012 09:54

oh that too jins, that too.

yy to showy's stamp of approval.

we need a code word.

I have just seen a mammoth. True. It was eating Golden Wonder sausage and tomato crisps.

Oh good Hully, I'm glad you would believe me.

I'll now go and post in AIBU about pervy people staring at my Grandma whilst she breastfeeds the triplets she has just given birth to.

PeppermintPasty · 02/03/2012 10:14

I've gone off the relationships board. Gone off is the right phrase. Are the miraculous daughter/deathbed threads still there I cba to look.

Can I hide here til they've all fecked orf?

TheSurgeonsMate · 02/03/2012 10:16

So I'm new wave and not old guard, and sometimes I wonder this: What was it that AIBU was meant to be for, originally, that people mourn?

Hullygully · 02/03/2012 10:19

It used to be funnier, surgeon, and not so full of raving barking loons and frothing berserkers. I think

OP posts:
Methe · 02/03/2012 10:29

YankNCock · 02/03/2012 10:31
