To think I am as invisible on MN as I am at home?

You know how it is, you speak.. no-one appears to hear, you clean, no-one cares, you cook, its yucky etc etc etc.
Well yes and I just accepted that as part of the motherhood deal, but thought MN was somewhere I might get noticed/ heard/ interacted with, but so many times I post and never get a thanks or even a WTF? I am beginning to feel like I am still at home............. anyone out there?

Confused I am just pretty amazed anyone wants people on mumsnet to notice them or cares if they do/don't! I've had people reply to comments mainly by expressing 'controversial' opinions. I don't think that's a good thing, I'd like to piss people off less (though really more concerned about that in real life where it actually matters than on here where people are just arsing about) but they'd have to stop being so silly first Wink.

Op i think being ignored on mn is the very least of your concerns. Why do you feel ignored in rl? I reply to specific comments too.

Start a thread on aibu about parent and child carparking spaces. You will soon get more replys than you ever thought possible Grin

cherrytopping · 25/02/2012 16:28

I think quoting another poster is always a good approach in actually, as it directly engages and shows you are listening.

WorraLiberty · 25/02/2012 16:29

I try to answer anyone who has referenced me too

But then sometimes, if I've returned to a thread and it's moved on really fast it seems pointless.

Blush Blush Blush
I have realised
1.I can't cope with all the attention,
2.I am crap at posting,
3.I am now Sad as I am indeed doing what others do, sparky sparrow, even though I did reply to you

  1. I think I might have to change my name to get back to a nice quiet place where no one knows me and I can have a nice sweet cup of Brew

Lesson well learned girls... thanks for all the good advice and the slagging off Grin

OP - I also don't like the attention that comes along with starting a thread. Too much responsibility. I do however, like to be noticed within a thread I'm on.

Do not change your name, no need. I will remember it Smile

SparkySparrow · 25/02/2012 17:33

I didn't mean it in a mean way, just surprised that you disappeared. In my defence I had had a drink last night, I seem to get brave

Thanks for the reply Wink

and keep you name! You are known by it now! Grin

I'm partial to a bit of Baby Names. Cheers me right up.

SparkySparrow · 25/02/2012 17:42

Maryz I will be following that advice form now on! Especially the bit about previewing. My downfall because I don't want to sound too much like a twat. Grin

OriginalJamie · 25/02/2012 17:43

OP - some people on her do forget that some of you us have Real Lives

OriginalJamie · 25/02/2012 17:43
