In total fairness, I went to see Macca at the O2 a couple of years ago and it was the best gig I've ever been to. Really! His voice is knackered and he does like to indulge in old-git well-rehearsed 'patter' and he can't half drone on about it, but his band are fantastic and he played for nearly 3 hours without a break. Everyone was on their feet for most of it (no, not heading for the exits!) It was fab
