This morning I walked alone, along a lonely cliff top and saw seals and their pups in the bay below me. I regretted all my "pups" were incarcerated in school learning metaphysical poets and algebra, and were too grown up to be with me.

Then a wet nose was thrust into my unsuspecting hand and I whisked around to hear a dog walker say "I'm sorry about my dog!"

Then I surprised myself and embarassed her by blurting out " My dog died last week, and I miss him. And then I sobbed - noisily!!

The water in my dog's bowl froze yesterday and when my kids found the frozen circle of ice that I had flipped onto the lawn, they told me that the moon had fallen out of the sky and onto our grass.

I chucked a sickie today and I don't feel the remotely guilty about it.

I'm sitting here waiting for the baby to wake up so I don't have to do boring hoovering and we can sit and sing silly songs instead.

Got DD3 weighed today, she is 8 weeks old and weighs 10lb5.

Which is what 8 weeks prem DD1 weighed at 6mths old!

My DS2 is currently eating an options hot chocolate sachet thingy neat - ie, just the powder no water or anything!

He didn't want to wait for me to make him a hot choc apparently :)

Franca forget the water - a couple of pints of cranberry juice will see you sorted until you can get to the docs for anti-biotics.

I've just taken DS2 to his swimming lesson and watched a frazzled woman struggling to juggle her 5 year old, 2 year old and newborn. She looked exhausted and almost began to cry when the lifeguard told her off for letting her toddler wander around on the pool deck.
Wish I had said something supportive (I was in her shoes 5 years ago) but I was too shy...I'm sure she thought I was silently judging her.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and can't bend down to read the leccy meter. Scottish power will have to wait.

(until dh comes home, not until I have the baby).
