I have no idea what my teens do with their pubic hair. On account of it being theirs.
I suspect DS1 trims his, possibly shaves. But that's only based on the mess he left in the bathroom one day. Other than a quick "please clean up after yourself" we've not discussed it. He shaves his legs too, at least he did last summer.

Why are you looking at other women's bodies without consent? That's not ok.

What's your solution? She:

1). Showers with her eyes shut, and enters/leaves the communal showers doing the same

2). Asks for consent

3). Something else

My 14 year old doesn’t remove any body hair and doesn’t want to! She is quite fair though. She also doesn’t wear a bra unless she’s got PE. All her choice, which is fine by me!

It's sad you see post pubescent young girls as nothing more than sexual beings for men's titillation . That's on you. Not the OP. I can promise you they aren't. My daughters never even kissed a boy. And as a woman that was groomed by a man as a very young teen I really resent you suggesting that discussions my mum may have had about concerns of what I was doing to my body , was pervert fodder. In reality conversations like this need to be had and I'm VERY glad I could talk to my daughter and help her make the right choice for HER.

I always think it’s funny that people believe women should be able to make decisions and have autonomy over their own body, until that choice disagrees with what certain people think is right. At that point, women can’t possibly make a choice about their own body and it MUST be the influence of porn etc.

I’ve shaved since fairly young and it’s nothing to do with men or the influence of porn, it’s my preference. Just as other people’s preference might be to leave it natural. Except seemingly only my preference is ‘wrong’ and ‘sad’.

I am well aware that in some cultures public hair is fully removed. I used to work as a beauty therapist only one customer ever asked for this (she was an escort and it was a request from a regular client) we were shocked and she had to find someone else to fully remove all her public hair I know this wasn’t easy for her to find as I did the rest of her beauty treatments. . It was just never asked for (this was 25 years ago landing strips were sometimes asked for again influenced by porn but it was the start of internet porn that really changed things, it’s total nonsense that porn hasn’t influenced society particularly young women and girls in our society and how we view our bodies and of course I recognise I would have been influenced too if I was growing up in these generations

Age 14 , they only person who should know whether they shave is the 14 year old themselves.
