To round up rightwingers and shoot them?

I am so bored and frustrated with politely pointing out why rightwingers are wrong about everything.

If I have to read one more thread about why someone with mental health issues shouldn't have had children, or why someone made homeless should have managed better, or why the benefits cap is a good thing because Fuck the Poor, I will get out my gun and raze the boards of MN.

STOP IGNORING THE FACTS YOU RIGHTWING IGNORAMUSES AND CLIMB DOWN OUT OF YOUR OWN NARROW ARSES TO THE WORLD THAT MOST PEOPLE STRUGGLE ALONG IN.

Oh, and you're all cunts BTW.

ShirleyForAllSeasons brace yourself.... i voted labour until the last election when i thought they needed sending to the wilderness to sort themselves out. so i voted Lib Dem which was obviously wrong. but you are correct that i was buying in to the Conservative rhetoric about benefits. & DP does have two v dodgy benefits lifestyle close relatives. but from MN i have learnt about the other side.

brace yourself again: we had a failed (on a technicality) asylum seeker living with us while doing cash in hand work ... i think the ladies of the local conservative association might choke on their sherries if i mentioned that in my membership application form!

IMO the economic 'advancement' across the whole of society of the last few decades has been an illusion but at the moment the realisation is only being applied to benefit claimants (easy target). I think home owners that believe they have 'made money' in the booms are incorrect as they still need a home to live in. & when house price erosion kicks in &/or interest rates go up, as they will, home ?ownership? will mean something completely different than it has.

And the 16k of debt person we owe a nation needs to be factored in: if you take off 4x16=64K for the average family, any equity they have is suddenly smaller. & house prices haven?t gone down. So their situation is not as good as they might think it is. Of course we don?t have to pay the debt off, & we can all service our share of the debt until we die ? which will be the expensive option.

I would like a government who balances the books & does not just rely on a boom to carry them through the next election & leave the country with a big pile of crap to deal with. However we did vote for them. Hopefully one day there will be a better choice. On the basis previous successive governments spent money we didn?t have, to keep them in power & us in ignorance, may I present for shooting:

Margaret Thatcher
Tony Blair
Gordon Brown
Dave, Nick and George

but as they say in Hackney: "guns are for show, knives are for a pro" so lets do this professionally.....

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 10:06

No not knives. Don't like knives

Rightwingers are not always as rightwing as you think Hully.

Some people are middle of the road and support left wing issues (Wrings hands)

Some people are middle of the road and support right wing issues (Polishes England enamel ring)

But if you're left wing and are arbitrarily saying all right wing views are wrong then you're wrong.

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 10:07

I like to keep things simple

OP posts:
foglike · 25/01/2012 10:08

Maybe too simple :)

Way too much pigeon-holing going on on MN today.

It must be generalisation day.

pigletmania · 25/01/2012 10:10

YABU everyone is entitled to their own views (within reason), does not make them wrong because they do not agree with you. Yes benefits should be capped and so should MP salaries. where are all this money coming from, do we have a bottomless pit Hmm.

OP posts:
foglike · 25/01/2012 10:13

The definition of right wing is slurred when spoken from the lips of a true staunch left winger.

Politics is great isn't it :)

pigletmania · 25/01/2012 10:14

Nice to see that you are open to reasonable discussion hully

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 10:15

The time for discussion is past.

While we discuss, the Tories turn Britain into Britain Plc for them and their chums.

Now it's shootin' time.

OP posts:
pigletmania · 25/01/2012 10:15

my point exactly!

foglike · 25/01/2012 10:19

Will the left wingers have machine guns?

Because the natives will outnumber the lefties 4-1.

Considering most people will have right wing views on some things even if they're staunch left wingers.

On a side note I think this govt is that left wing it hurts.

Mimishimi · 25/01/2012 10:20

Highly unreasonable. You can't just shoot someone because you're bored of arguing with them. I'd say that's pretty fascist myself.

AbsofCroissant · 25/01/2012 10:23

Was thinking about this, and I personally feel right wing/left wing is way too simplistic, and the goal posts have moved to an extent, so people are arguing at cross purposes.

On some issues, I'm pretty left wing and as a kid was a communist (as one is). On some other things though (not related to British politics) I think the left is just BARKING to be honest and should get their heads out of their collective asses.

Overall, I'm all over the place politically, but according to the Political Compass whatsit, sat somewhere between Ghandi and Nelson Mandela.

Hullygully · 25/01/2012 10:24

Me too, Abs.

But in the most general of terms right=bad and left =better.

foglike · 25/01/2012 10:27

Right wing isn't better or worse than left wing.

Both extremes are terrible.

I find right wing politics much easier to ignore because left wing politics is what's actually damaging us right now.

ShirleyForAllSeasons · 25/01/2012 10:33

I'm quite a lot like ghandi. And a bit like Jesus.

I've said this before.

NorthernWreck · 25/01/2012 10:36

I have been thinking this over, and have come to the conclusion that the nation at each others throats all blaming each other for this mess is EXACTLY what them upstairs want.

The worst thing imo that has happened since the crash, imo, is the way the British nation's generosity of spirit and sense of fair play seems to have been a myth all along.
All of a sudden we are all consumed with angst that someone, somewhere, might be having an easier time of it, and well, we work hard, we pay our taxes, why should they get an easy ride??
What a lot of emergent right wing frothers are missing is that:

a)Most people are decent and hard working
and
b) Given the choice, no sane person would EVER choose to live in a shitty council house on benefit to having a career, a mortgage, and a future for your kids.

Lets get real, stop blaming the very people who actually never did take out giant mortgages they couldnt afford, sell dodgy loans,or fake expense claims.
Lets stop fighting amongst ourselves and turn the guns on to the people in charge and fucking well hold them accountable.

Peachy · 25/01/2012 10:37

Well the poor are dying so shooting aside, HOW do we change things now?

here

fuel costs rise making home heating impossible for poorer people

nine eprcent of disabled people fear cuts will make their lives not worth living and face death or even suicide

A few deaths now, potentially far more.. people who work in job centrres are being hgiven suiicide training for a reason after all.

We talk endlessly about the £26k cap that very few people get. Why not discuss what happens to those who willf all through the net- a net where the holes are being amde much* wider. most of whome will be the vulnerable. What about the little-known MINIMUM income? Anyone know what that is? £2k. Per family. Per annum.

That's my biggest worry personally*

foglike · 25/01/2012 10:39

It's not going to be easy considering the right wing views of the working class will be fighting against the left wing of the middle class.

^^

NorthernWreck · 25/01/2012 10:40

Really foglike? Because most working class people I know are resolutely left wing.

foglike · 25/01/2012 10:45

NorthernWreck that's why I put generalising.

But seeing as though you mention it most people I know sort of swing to the right on certain issues.

Maybe we live in different areas?
