to wear Superdry at 39

I bought myself a gorgeous Superdry coat yesterday. Didn't know much about the brand but I liked it, I needed one and it felt good quality so I bought it!

Afterwards I couldn't help but notice that it was mainly teenagers wearing Superdry and when I got home my DH gave me a and suggested I was too old for it. although he has the fashion sense of Jeremy Clarkson so I don't tend to take any notice of his clothes-related comments

It's bugging me now though - should I be wearing Superdry when I hit the big 40 next year?

I opened this thread thinking Superdry was a type of incontinence product like Tena, was going to suggest you go to GP.
What is the coat like? Link?

My husband is 40 this year and I bough thim a Superdry T-shirt for Christmas. He looks fab in it.

Ignore your DH and wear it with pride (I would if their large was just a teensy bit bigger...!).

Coat fine, by all accounts they are good functional garments.
Hoodies and t- shirts no! They are worn by teens who can't afford a coat.
Seeing a teen in a super dry hoody in the pouring rain, getting super wet always reduces me to fits of giggles!

I certainly hope so -I'm 40 & wear it lots!

It's fine, I have a similar Bench coat which I intend to wear well into my thirties and get my money's worth, it was bloody expensive.

Very nice coat. Suitable for any age.

DH has a very warm Superdry coat. He's 33.

Great coat and FWIW I have a superdry T shirt, I'm 36 and have received many compliments on it, it's a gorgeous deep blue colour which is why I bought it.
Who cares what anyone else thinks...I wouldn't think badly of someone else's clothing choice based on their age, and if someone else has the time to be critical of me for mine, then frankly I pity them...too much spare time to think empty thoughts!

Oh dear Fanny and kayno , YANBU at all if you like it why not! I am 35 and have a couple of Superdry cardigans

Great coat - if it didn't have a Superdry label on it, would your DH have made any comment at all I wonder? I wouldn't have known it was a branded coat just to look at the picture...I saw it and just thought it looked warm, and would go with most casual outfits, and has a hood (always a plus in my book) - if I hadn't seen the price next to the pic, I might have been tempted to buy one :)

Thats a lovely coat, might treat myself to one when I have my dc (due any day) and my baby bump has gone.

if it's quite plain and hasn't got 'Superdry' all over it in bright colours, i can't see why not. I was given a hoody for christmas but it's quite plain and a nice colour so i think i get away with at 32. i hope so anyway....

Well I'm 39 and wear a superdry jacket so YANBU

I have had lots of comments about my lovely jacket from older people and DDs friends think it's quite cool her mum has a superdry jacket (she's 12).
