I bought myself a gorgeous Superdry coat yesterday. Didn't know much about the brand but I liked it, I needed one and it felt good quality so I bought it!

Afterwards I couldn't help but notice that it was mainly teenagers wearing Superdry and when I got home my DH gave me a Hmm and suggested I was too old for it. although he has the fashion sense of Jeremy Clarkson so I don't tend to take any notice of his clothes-related comments

It's bugging me now though - should I be wearing Superdry when I hit the big 40 next year?

DP dresses mainly in Superdry. I have a penchant for Hollister and Abercrombie.

We're well over 30. I don't get how all the youngsters can afford it tbh.

I am 44 and if I could fit into dd 12 superdry coat I would, unfortunately I have too much padding to fit into her teeny weeny little coat Envy

I wouldn't wear superdry as that is the make my son and his mates wear. (year 6) he has just started asking for certain makes of clothes, so I couldn't wear the same. Although I do like like the coat.

it just makes me laugh that it pretends to be japanese and people fall for it

OriginalJamie · 21/01/2012 21:29

As well as Superdry, I notice The North Face jackets are fashionable around here. I think teens should lay off our middle-aged hill-walker brands, personally

PaigeTurner · 21/01/2012 21:47

I laughed when I first saw the brand - in street slang, dry means shit. Super Shit - that guy in Cheltenham who designed it is having everyone on.

Sidge · 21/01/2012 21:51

I've never heard of Superdry but am gobsmacked that anyone would spend nearly 150 quid on a coat

I've got my eye on a superdry body warmer and I'm 47.

UnsureAndWaiting · 21/01/2012 23:14

Wow I too thought pads!

Shows what I know - love the coat though. Grin

Sure who cares? If you like something, then buy it and wear it. I can never get my head around people telling you what you should and shouldn't wear or do. Haven't they got better things to be doing!
