That's better, ta Nobdie1. I like the idea of 'unwelknown', it's a bit 'unbirthday' isn't it? Smile

FoofFighter · 20/01/2012 22:10

A-ha I think I recognise someone!

OP posts:
Poochela · 20/01/2012 22:11

Ahem.

A nobdie noun nob-dee. to be a nobdie is to be an unknown non-famous member of MN as yet unrecognised. Typical Nobdie characteristics are the love of pointless conversation, their inclusive yet elusive ethos and exstensive use of to convey the unseen. i.e.

I think the Nobdies have hijacked your thread Foof but we're still none the wiser! I think it's something you had to be in on at the start because I don't understand the Nobdie threads .

Snowboarder · 20/01/2012 22:11

Are all the Nobdie threads like this? Just people posting random words really ssssssssspppppppprrrrrreeeeeeeaaaaaadddddd ooooooouuuuutttttttt?

[boggles]

MaryNobdieZ · 20/01/2012 22:12

Nobdies aren't quichey, secret, snooty, smug (apart from BeerTricks), made of Playmobile (apart from Norm).

They drink a lot, mostly Brew but some Wine.

They are generous and sharing, and welcoming to anyone who has enough time to fart around on here talking crap on a daily basis.

In order to join you have to be (1) a member of Mumsnet and (2) er, that's it, nothing else.

but being quick with a keyboard and being here a lot helps you keep up

Oh, and there's millions of them though actually sometimes I think there is only one, with lots of sockpuppets

SpangledPandemonium · 20/01/2012 22:12

They are not nice at all. They are horrid.
They are trying to lure you in
Stay well away.

Nobdie1 · 20/01/2012 22:12

Thanks Poo darling Smile

I did put unwell known but it looked like we were all a bit ill

Snowboarder · 20/01/2012 22:12

Sorry, ahem

MammothMcNobdie · 20/01/2012 22:13

Nah, we use normal words, we just put them together quite randomly.

ladyfirenze · 20/01/2012 22:13

ooooooooh yeay! I remember this, a bit, I think..... hurrah. My my aren't we all excitable this evening? I'm off to do some performance swearing on some other threads

ShineYourButtonsWithBrasso · 20/01/2012 22:13

There is nothing quiche about nobdies and they are definatly in the not believing the MN royality shit so it has nothing to do with that.

Anyone can post and they will be included, but beware, you need to be able to type fast and talk about jumpsuits and bongs and bars and......

Oh just go and say hello!!

And for the record I think NobDie is a stupid name but it was very funny at the time and it seemed to stick Grin

Nobdie3260 · 20/01/2012 22:13

We're quite harmless! Would you like a cocktail? We do good cocktails......

nobdie54321 · 20/01/2012 22:13

That Spang is a one, a right mare I tell ya Wink

fifitrixibell · 20/01/2012 22:14

sorry - X posted. I suppose that does make it clearer, thank you.

MaryNobdieZ · 20/01/2012 22:14

And just to add to the confusion a lot of the unknowns who were on the first Nobdie thread (a year ago) have wasted a lot of time here become quite well known since.

So soon there will be no distinction between Royalty/Nobody, which is of course the way it should be.

Poochela · 20/01/2012 22:15

Nope Snowy - Nobdie threads are sometimes quite fast paced and admittedly there is a high concentration of drivel but anybody is welcome to join in at any point.

We're dead nice really. Come over for a Brew?
