I got engaged on xmas day , weee! so did another mate.
I've not even set a date yet but perhaps stupidly got all giddy and told people who I wanted to be m.o.h/bridesmaids.
I asked other b to b to be a bm . she accepted seemed thrilled.
been chatting about plans etc.
I got told a date has been set but only close family know becasue its soon and only family will be going to daytime (grooms request). I'm not sure If i'm even invited to night do.
AIBU to feel like I'm gonna be totally humiliated and actually quite stunned and upset, like I dunno made to look stupid and its quite shitty tbn

I'm late to this thread, but WTF is going on? Why so many 'Messages deleted by Mumsnet'? Did you all get really mean or is someone sat on the delete button at Mumsnet Towers?

Maybe she can't afford a big wedding.

Maybe there are family reasons ( bereavement etc) to keep it small and quiet.

Christ I'm glad I never got married.

NormanTebbit · 15/01/2012 16:58

Wow Bringmesunshine I bet you've got GCSEs n'everything.

Op is behaving like a child. It's a just a bloody wedding.

HoudiniHissy · 15/01/2012 17:25

that SOB's not invited to

bringmesunshine2009 · 15/01/2012 17:26

I do have GCSEs. A lot of people do. And ALL the BAGA badges and Grade 4 flute. Which I think make me particularly precocious gifted and talented.

Some might say I am professionally patronising, it certainly plays a part. Unfortunately I do not earn a fortune.

To be clear, I was in fact, not being entirely serious.

I got that BMS2009 I thought it was really funny...amazed some gals took it seriously. Shows how well you wrote it I guess Grin

LeBOF · 15/01/2012 18:21

It was a late night, in my defence Grin

NormanTebbit · 15/01/2012 19:56

Frankly on mumsnet it's hard to tell when people are being serious. But Grin for very good effort ( not in the slightest but patronising there Wink)

My y judgement was clouded by the sheer pettiness of the op.

BalloonTwister · 15/01/2012 23:03

Damn it! The first Friday night in months that I go out in RL and I missed a thread with all these deletions! Buggrit - any one want to cach me up on what it was all about? Grin
