When we were young we wanted to hide them to avoid the looks and comments. Not good either, but when/how did it change?

I don't get it either. My boobs are pretty small (32b) after breastfeeding and loosing weight and whilst I don't have a problem with waxing hair or working out in the gym / lifting weights to improve appearance I would never ever consider "poison bags" in my body.

LOL @ tea-bagging. Agree that pube removal can often be predominantly about sensitivity/hygiene, especially re. oral sex. But I do also think that for others, it's an attempt to emulate porn workers- I sometimes wonder if this might be the main distinction between the younger and older pube waxers. I am 34 and not interested in looking like a sex worker. Nor does my husband make requests of me re. what to do with my pubes. I choose to remove them, sometimes, because I like its impact on our sex life and so does OH.

MichaelaS, as most young women are fertile, a young woman who has had a child is half as able to raise a new child as a woman who has no children at all. That is why in some African languages, the word for famine literally translates as 'first child, second child.'

So it would make no sense to prefer women who look like they already have a young child to women who look like they haven't had children yet.

Yeah, thats so true Hully-when I was a teenager some of us had tits, some of us didn't have much at all, but none of us wanted bigger tits.
Girls with big tits were endlessly gawped at and commented upon by the boys, and we didn't want that kind of attention.Attention from boys in general, yes, attention for our boobs, not really.
But then internet porn had not really taken off when I were a lass.
Maybe it really is the intense saturation of porn that influences how girls want to be seen.
