To think that the West is seriously fucked up on the bosom front?

Bags of poison sewn into our infant feeding parts.

How fucked up is that?

What makes women make that choice if not the culture around them?

The judgement of other women/girls was what nearly made me make the choice.

And as I'm 43 this year, it was long before 'Nuts' or 'Zoo' or the easy availability of porn on Sky/Internet sites. There were 3 TV channels and they were very conservative compared to now days.

One last go.

What makes women make those choices?

One last go

The way other women/girls judged me for being so flat chested was what nearly drove me to make that choice.

LadyBeagleEyes · 12/01/2012 20:55

Mishtake, I went for the saline implant option.
I was given a choice, and that one was the one with the least surgery.
It's not perfect, but to never stick these horrible blubbery chicken fillets in my bra ever again made it worth it.
And I could wear vest tops again without worrying that everybody could see the prosthesis sticking out at the top of my bra.
It was worth it for me.

I strongly suspect many of those frothing about implants here never had those issues to deal with.

I'm not huffy Cassette, I'm despairing because i can't think of any other ways to explain!

Let's try this:

In an ideal world, yes (once again!) we should be free to not give a tinkers how we look and be content with how we are naturally but we do. It's sad but true.

It's always been this way and always will be. WHY?

Hullygully · 12/01/2012 21:02

I think your view is very naive Cassette.

Implants were never an option for me because of irradiated skin LadyBeagleEyes. I am really glad you are happy with your decision.

When you have lost your breast/s totally you see this whole issue of breast "enhancement" (god I hate that phrase) from a very different perspective don't you?

I love my boobs being small, much easier to look classy in a low neckline top. Plus I randomly saw a sex scene from a film when I was way too young to see it and the woman had little/no boobs and thought wow, she is v sexy so it has always made me feel sexy having small boobs and non padded non underwired bras.

I do think most men like big boobs but what is more attractive to anyone is how confident you are in your own body. Implants are a big sign of not being confident in yourself imo and apart from that are dangerous and any unnecessary surgery is a bit silly to put it mildly.

I feel sorry for those women, not judgmental of them. There is an important difference.

Absolutely Mishtake, as you said, why would anyone want to change a healthy breast?
Madness.

ok, Cassette. Let's agree to differ. Although it still seems really odd to me that someone very beautiful, happily married, confident and successful would subject herself to life-threatening surgery for no reason.
