Surely I'm not the only one!

The Oxfam Goat from FIL - did he turn up with other gifts?

The Kindle found in the boot of DH's car - who was it for?

The online company who sent OP the wrong perfume - did it get resolved? (don't say too much about that as it kept getting deleted on previous threads)

I'm sure there's more... I am rubbish at searching sorry Blush

OP posts:
Scoundrel · 01/01/2012 16:21

I think there was some suspicion that dog/stepdaughter/bedroom dinner woman was someone who has posted many times about the odd relationship between her partner and his daughter and how it was terrible to live with.

cornsilxkski · 01/01/2012 16:29

I want to know about the evil MIL who kicked out her son's partner on xmas eve as well.

Collision · 01/01/2012 16:38

I have just sobbed through the Stripes Reunion!!

fergoose · 01/01/2012 16:41

the aftershave one - the seller was disputing the refund, claiming that it had been returned in bad/unsaleable condition. The buyer had involved police due to seller's threats apparently.

alistron1 · 01/01/2012 16:43

I NEED to know about the friend and the 'lost' handbag. AFAIK the friend was away until yesterday

alistron1 · 01/01/2012 16:43

The best xmas thread though was the lady who had a baby on xmas day

MrsOzz · 01/01/2012 16:49

What happened to the 5 yr old DD who had/was given all the medicine from the cupboard by her older step-sister.

GP just said keep an eye on her, MNers pushed for A&E trip... I could never find the thread again. Grrrrr.

CrazyChicken · 01/01/2012 17:39

I know its not a pre xmas one but what happened to Mrs Devere and the bunglaow in next door's garden?

Kayzr · 01/01/2012 17:42

Oh yeah Crazy I had forgotten about the bungalow that was meant to be a gym. What happened there??

molepomandmistletoe · 01/01/2012 17:42

Fergoose, she did post a thread asking if MNHQ had apologised to him on behalf of MNHQ and the posters. He's still causing her grief and MNHQ sadi that the only thing they have said to him, was to notify him, that they have deleted his post as requested by him. He's currently still residing in a fantasy world. Then the thread got pulled. So I dare not say anything else about it to be honest as I dont want this thread pulled.

stillfrazzled · 01/01/2012 17:49

I still wonder about the posters whose Dhs had just stopped washing. Hoping things have improved for them in some way, but would like to know.

JjandtheBean · 01/01/2012 17:49

Thank you idont, I didn't know that and funnily enough they didn't mention it, this is why I love mumsnet, bottomless pit of helpful information.

notveryinventive · 01/01/2012 17:51

noseily marking my place even though some of these threads are not known to me, some do sound familiar.

Is there a round up thread ever? Would be interesting, but quite difficult to maintain unless there is someone who knows everything

Haagendazs · 01/01/2012 17:53

I loved the Stripes reunion thread!
What happened to the OP whos butcher had forgotten to deliver her turkey late on Xmas eve? Was it fish fingers, sprouts and cranberry sauce for dinner?
Also want to hear about the MIL who kicked out OP on Xmas eve as she wasnt 'real' family and the dh was in hospital

Gigondas · 01/01/2012 17:54

On mil kicking out daughter, last I heard is she has told dp who was furious but not sure what happened next.

Also there was one about poster who put off her dsd coming for Xmas - turned out he had meningitis .

Also keen to find out about the missing handbag.

Gigondas · 01/01/2012 17:56

Haagendaz butcher turned up at last Minute with even bigger turkey (not that i have spent disproportionate time on Mn )

Haagendazs · 01/01/2012 18:00

Thanks Gigondas. He must have been very late as I thought the post was made after 10pm. Maybe I was just drunk Grin

Hello interested Mumsnetters.

Bungalow update.

It is still there. It will always be there as it doesnt infringe building/planning thingies.
I am pretty sure people are living in it. The lights and tv are on late at night and I have seen them on several times when I have been up early (6am ish).

The fence is still there and THAT does infringe planning regs.

I had an email about a month ago from nice (he is very nice, I have met him) planning man asking me if I had 'any further information'. His emails always read slightly sinister Smile. He also said that his investigations were not concluded.

I told him I could not prove that someone was living there because the blinds were kept closed at all times but I reported the lights being on and that there was a LOT of extra activity at the house. This includes at least two new lodgers (two beds and a box room and they have three kids).
I confirmed that the fence was still up.

I am not suprised the fence is still up. They obviously do not think they are obliged to conform to any regulations. Hmm

I laughed my arse off last week as neighbour was on the flat roof of the bungalow looking worried. I am fairly sure it will be leaking already. Its is a very flat roof and we have had a lot of wet weather.

So not much has changed. At least the nasty builder has gone. I am sad that I have neglected my garden and my little sewing room at the back. I know its silly but all that rubbish made me not want to go out there at all. Last year I did all my Christmas wrapping and stuff down there, this year I didnt go down at all.

Plan - get back on to planning and cnlr in the New Year.
Clean up garden
Start using sewing room again

Fuck em, fuck em sideways!

Sparklingbrook · 01/01/2012 18:38

Thanks for the update Mrs DeVere. I have been thinking about you. You sound quite calm and ready for round 2. Smile

Xales · 01/01/2012 18:42

MrsDeVere can you not aim the most massive bright 'security' light set on ultra-sensitive go off at a mouse mode right into the not bedroom window?

As it is not a bedroom window just a gym it will not upset anyone because there is no one sleeping in there at night...

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/01/2012 18:54

Nosily marking my place. I really want to know about the 'not real family' one.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 01/01/2012 18:54

I have thought about that Xales We 'need' a nice bright light down that end of the garden and they can so easily get blown awry by the wind cant they?

Sparklingbrook · 01/01/2012 18:56

Would you not like some chickens at the bottom of the garden and a massive cockerel? Grin
