to just be a bit shocked by what I found on our computer today?

Well only a little bit. Long story but bear with me...

I am currently trying to download iCloud. It says to go to Networks and Sharing. Well it wasn't there, but access to my dh's files was. His pictures file. Now I know he collects pictures of nude wimmin because I've seen him looking at them before. So I thought I'd take a peek at the kind of thing he was looking at. It was pretty harmless, just lots of posed pictures of naked women, etc. That wasn't what shocked me.

There were over 13,000 pictures.

It was like a fucking library. There were folders, sub-folders, categories, sub-categories, different fetishes, a whole folder full of folders of different women with hundreds of pictures of them in each one (and each one was named!) not to mention folders of lingerie, etc.

Now I know I probably got what I deserved, but 13,000? That's bloody years of collecting it. There's no way I'm going to tell him I've seen it. I didn't touch it, just looked through it. He obviously doesn't know I can find it.

I feel like I ought to be impressed at the sheer scale of it. I'm tempted to move it and wait for him to start asking panicky questions about whether the computer has gone wrong or not.

Actually the statistics are quite high. Especially if it's torrent. That's how they distribute a lot of illegal porn.

So dismissing is stupid.

Ok I've just had a better look through them and they all seem to be of busty models in sexy(?) lingerie. Definitely no children.

I'm quite pissed off that the suggestion has even been made.

Jangle actually if it's torrent. It's highly likely one could have got through. That's how they distribute it. All sorts of illegal porn.

I'm not making any assumptions. It is very likely that in 13000 pornographic images there will be dodgy ones.

Of course it could happen...it could happen if he downloaded any kind of publicly shared file...even pictures of fishing.

If that doesn't sound too 'thick' of me to point out?

The pictures are all of the same theme and likeness which leads me to believe that they are a carefully catalogued hobby going back over several years.

I'm sure there are several women in them who have been exploited. I'm equally as sure that there are women there who love sex and are happy to pose for money. I can't justify or vilify the porn industry because that's too big an argument.

I do however have to go to bed. I promise to update you as and when the shit starts to hit the fan.

Oh and yes it's lingerie but with all the bits on show, iyswim. Nylon, bodysuits, general nakedness, etc.

Don't really see the benefit of hiding porn pictures in pictures of fishing when porn is so readily available.

Feel free to look up the statistics yourself, they're ready available and shocking.

Yes, there are women in porn who would say they're not exploited and I'm sure for some that's true - but 13000?

The majority of women taking part in pornography and prostitution are exploited.

And if I ask him about it he will clam up and deny all knowledge and refuse to discuss it. Honestly. If he can deny a porn listing on a tv screen to which I have the remote and have just found right in front of him, he can pretend he can't understand about some pictures. That's how he deals with these things. Although I haven't tried, obviously.

Now I must go to bed!

By the way, do you always see other people as 'thick' because they have an opposing point of view to you?

How does that work when you're counselling?

Why do ypu all seem so ok with 13 THOUSAND images of naked women?> Do you not think that that is obsessive? Why does he need them at all? Yes they are "just tits"..but his wife has tits, why isnt that enough?

I absolutely hate the porn aguments here. The women who feel that all menz need to look st this..their brains are wired differently..Its only a bit of fun!!! I cant think who said it above but they are right that statistically at least one of those women are exploited in some way. I wouldnt want to be with someone who has such a collection.

And before someone says "oh yeah, your DH does it too, all men do" I can assure you the men I have been with do not. They have far more respect for women, for me, their daughters, than that.

Were they password protected? As given where you say they were and so easily accessible they werent really hidden at all.

I would be more concerned that you dont feel you can speak to him about this?

I hate when this shit gets trotted out every damn time. Some men don't wank off to pornography, some men can't stand it. There are individulas that do not share your ideals and views it's called the big wide diverse world out there.
