Sorry, i know its Christmas but i got annoyed.

OP posts:
garlicnutcracker · 26/12/2011 20:16

... If white, heterosexual, fully-abled and amply resourced men suffered oppression by other groups, they'd have movements for it. Funnily enough, you don't see a whole lot of distress coming from "privileged-ism" ...

Tortington · 26/12/2011 20:16

aww hully thats soo ..naice

garlicnutcracker · 26/12/2011 20:17

garlicnutcracker · 26/12/2011 20:19

AF, I needed to reply to what Callipygous said about not being able to accept feminists could be bullies. You can't be trying to censor me, can you?

Callipygous · 26/12/2011 20:21

Oh, have you been PM'd, garlic?

garlicnutcracker · 26/12/2011 20:23

Sorry, Calli, missed your 20:12 post. Time I yielded to entropy ( = missed Doctor Who episodes and vodka) Wink

No, no PM.

Hullygully · 26/12/2011 20:24

I know Custy, but I think all the battles get confused and mixed up whereas we would genuinely be happier as a species if we got that bit more evolved and respected the earth, other species and each other.

Hullygully · 26/12/2011 20:24

That's what I'd teach in schools.

I wouldn't revoke Godwin's Law.

Your first post on this thread was to accuse the Feminist Board of torture, genocide, rape, human rights violations of every other kind and murder.

Calling Godwin's Law was a rather mild response to your deeply offensive statement.
----

a tenet of facism is that the state comes the individual

at no point does is ever say - facists have to be rapists and murderers

the implimentation of facism - much like communism - when employed by people use the methods that you state

i haven't called anyone a nazi or a rapist. you are being deliberatley incorrect. but then i find that this isn't unusual

i mean almost eery post of mine had been wilfully twisted by people who profess to be feminists

call me rude - thats fine - i was rude - that is acurate

but its about the only bloody thing that has been accurate

and you refuse to accept that Godwins was wrongly invoked - which in itself is actually funny

becuase at this point

custy has now called feminists rapists Hmm

stop being so daft

BoneyBackJefferson · 26/12/2011 20:26

Interesting that you put

"white, heterosexual, fully-abled"

there are male groups out there

Families need fathers
Mankind etc.

others get bad press F4J for example
others in the male catagory are seen as hate groups
some male groups have been derided on here as being
misogynistic.
seems that they can't win.

Hullygully · 26/12/2011 20:28

I don't know what anyone is talking about, who is this Godwin?

If you want love and respect, you need to offer it. Let us start with each other.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 26/12/2011 20:30

Am I trying to censor you, garlic ?

not at all

just a bit of friendly advice, not to drag up old arguments

you don't have to take it, of course

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 26/12/2011 20:32

calli...just block my pm's, eh ?

you would be the first person who ever felt the need, believe me

Tortington · 26/12/2011 20:33

this is mumsnet's godwin Grin

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 26/12/2011 20:34

garlic just in case you missed the brick-like hinting

calli is inferring that I must have sent you an abusive pm

Tortington · 26/12/2011 20:35

you never send me a pm?

i call quiche

Tortington · 26/12/2011 20:35

i INVOKE quiche law

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 26/12/2011 20:35

in fact calli report me to MNHQ

garlicnutcracker · 26/12/2011 20:36

Nah, AF, I've giving in to Dr Who - or several of him, in fact, since this is my archive of ones I missed :)

Godwin's Law is an internet 'law' which says that: [a] Every argumentative thread will eventually draw mentions of Hitler / Nazis, and, [b] It means the thread's original topic has been more or less exhausted.

If Families Need Fathers who don't pay maintenance requires feminism to further its aims, it needs to rethink its objectives.

garlicnutcracker · 26/12/2011 20:37

Oh, I did miss that! Thanks, AF. Oh, go on, send me one Grin

Hullygully · 26/12/2011 20:39

Does anyone think things would change if we spent more time listening to and drawing out each other's views (thus possibly leading the original espouser to a rethink off their own bat) rather than pushing our own?

yellowraincoat · 26/12/2011 20:40

Hully, I often think that: rarely follow through on it Blush but often think it.

Callipygous · 26/12/2011 20:44

Wow man that's radical.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 26/12/2011 20:45

For the lurkers

and anyone else that calli is trying to convince that AnyFucker sends abusive pm's

--------

From: AnyFuckerForAMincePie
To: Callipygous
Subject: hello
Date: Mon 26-Dec-11 18:22:30
I wonder if you have ever seen this

Don't worry, it's quite safe to open

Just an example of the abuse the Feminism section takes. There are also worse ones out there, where posters are named and in some cases, their RL ID's outed.

I don't see the MN feminists behaving like that < shrug >

---------

"This" is a link to a FB page "MumsnetSucks" where individual posters on the feminist section are namechecked and vilified. Or bullied. Whichever way you wish to describe it.

So calli quit hinting broadly that I send abusive pm's or report me to MNHQ and let them deal with it.
