Everyone looks at their iPod and feel proud that they have a bit of classical, bit of country, bit of metal, bit of folk, bit of indie .... SNORE

I, however, definitely DO have eclectic taste in music.

I listen to Coldplay AND to U2.
I listen to Duran Duran AND to Spandau Ballet.
I listen to Robbie Williams AND to George Michael.
I listen to Madonna AND to Lady GaGa.

Not only that, but I've got a Best of Johnny Cash and also an Eminem album.

None of you have my range.

I have a stultifyingly narrow taste in music. It's early 90's indie or nowt as far as I'm concerned, though I do tolerate a bit of Florence and the Machine.

I can't work out from the tone of the OP if she's having a little joke about her taste being 'eclectic' or if she genuinely thinks it is . If it is the former, FYI that is not eclectic.

My iTunes reveals a very non-eclectic taste. The artists and music I love span 4 decades but are all interlinked and influence each other. Metronomy influenced by Steve Wonder. LCD Soundsystem influenced by Talking Heads. OK Go influenced by Prince. Feist influenced by Fleetwood Mac. Katy B influenced by 90s Garage. Vampire Weekend influenced by Paul Simon. Friendly Fires influenced by all of the above.

No you don't sound like you have eclectic tastes at all. My favourite music includes: Drifters, Lady Gaga, Bobby Vinton, Bobby Helms, Amy Whinehouse, Eminem, Smiley Lewis, Abba, Rock, Classical chorale music, GLen Miller.
