Who is stupid enough to send cash by post ?

My mil is. She sent 60 pounds by post and my dh lost it. He put it in his wallet and he must have lost it to the shop.

So I'm pissed off with Mil for sending £60 by post when she could have made a transfer and I'm pissed off with dh for losing it.

Now my shopping day is cancelled, the 60 pounds were a contribution to our ds's xmas gifts.

AIBU ?

Sparkling you would need more ID than the info. on a cheque to access a person's account.
I am often asked about direct debits, DOB, previous adresses, who is my employer, who my mortgage is with, other bank accounts, what type of card I have, how much goes in and out, what my overdraft limit is etc.

Sparklingbaubles · 18/12/2011 15:20

Yes I know Kitty it just makes me laugh that people send cheques but worry about people knowing their bank account details.

I used to work in a bank. (yawn)

Agree! :o

shaketheshame · 18/12/2011 15:54

it is not a complain, I'm just explaining/chatting! I was pissed off at the beginning and was probably unreasonnable but I moved on..I' m not here for a fight..and I didn't insult a single person !

Do you want to have any sort of relationship with MIL shake? The sleeping arrangements sound like a nightmare, so can understand not wanting to go even if you were ok with her!

maras2 · 18/12/2011 16:10

You so did.You insulted your MIL.and the nice people who've answared your question AIBU.

BlissfulMistletoe · 18/12/2011 16:57

I normally send money by post, just have a recorded delivery

TheOriginalFAB · 18/12/2011 17:13

Holding a grudge does no one any good and just adds to your stress.

What does the post have to do with anything if your husband lost it in a shop?

Sparklingbaubles · 18/12/2011 19:24
