Sure he probably was lying. Maybe he wasn't and should have had the maturity to handle it differently, who knows, but for a random stranger to handle this KID in this way is horrific!

Shame he didnt fall on the rails- that would've saved the prison service a few quid over the next 20 years

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:32

Dead right he got more than he expected...he got physically assaulted.

Big fine for the Big Man is totally justified...as is a small fine for the lesser crime of the lad for fare evading. Justice for all.

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:33

Would be interested in the Police record of the thug. Looks like he's comfortable manhandling people.

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 12/12/2011 08:33

yes, why not get the Big Man to pay the wee scrote compensation as well Hmm x 1 million

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:34

I'm not hug a Hoody....I am prosecute the thugs.

demetersdaughter · 12/12/2011 08:37

Maybe he was a policeman or ex forces.
The little shit was rude and entitled.
He deserved what happened to him.

RealLifeIsForWimps · 12/12/2011 08:37

I also second what Morloth said. If my son acted like this, and told me he got thrown off the train by a random I would say "Good. Bloody well serves you right"

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:40

Just to be clear...the lad was in no doubt a gooby git who was fare evading, and should have been dealt with...but in the right way. Physical/violence is never, ever the answer. It gives out the wrong message and does not instil respect whatsoever. Imagine if it was the other way around, and the lad manhandled the member of the public...oh the outcry.

The physical stuff was not justified at all. We all hate thuggery and violence in society,do we not?

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 12/12/2011 08:41

usually

KittyFane · 12/12/2011 08:42

If the 'kid' was being arsey and aggressive he got what he asked for. There will always be someone more arsey and aggressive than him.

RealLifeIsForWimps · 12/12/2011 08:43

To say that physical force (because I don't believe it was violence) is never justified is simply wrong, and personally I think the force used was proportionate. If he'd dragged him off the train and beaten crap out of him for fun, that would be a different matter.

Not sure what the law is really because bouncers are allowed to use force to remove drunks from clubs etc.

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:44

I don't think the lad was being aggressive at all...yes arsey, but how was he aggressive? He swore twice, remained seated (until aggressively dragged up).and I did not hear him threaten anyone.

the only aggression I saw came from the adult thug.

Kayano · 12/12/2011 08:44

I'm actually of the opinion that awful kids like that should have been manhandled a lot earlier

What an entitled gobby horrible teen

It's not like he was a little kid Fgs, he was a teenager fully aware of what he was
Doing.

No sympathy here sorry

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:45

Bouncers are licensed and trained...as are the Police. If the public carry out physical acts...it is assault.

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 12/12/2011 08:45

he was aggressive as he was forcing a confrontation.

FanjoForTheReindeerJumper · 12/12/2011 08:46

(the 19 year old kid)

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:48

May be we should just get rid of the law and let the public do all the Policing as they see fit.

TwoIfBySea · 12/12/2011 08:49

He might have been little but it wasn't a kid. There is a problem with some people thinking they can do what they like, no one can touch them & for once a fed-up commuter decided enough was enough. No doubt he'll feel entitled to sue for his wee hurt feelings now.

Blame lies squarely with the wee ned. How many times have staff been verbally & physically assaulted & no one steps in? You think the police would have bothered him?

I know for a fact had it been a case where he was a "kid" who had bought the wrong ticket or who didn't have enough money to get home the ticket inspector would have worked something out. Polmont is not too far from Edinburgh, town next to me, he's probably done this a number of times & skipped off the train thinking he's the big I am.

DoesNotGiveAFig · 12/12/2011 08:49

crazy why have you assumed "big man" is a thug? He could be a police constable or bouncer in another life.

Young man got what he deserved IMO.

RealLifeIsForWimps · 12/12/2011 08:51

I actually witnessed a similar incident on a London bus when a guy got on and started being extremely offensive to a pair of teenage girls (not going to repeat what was said, but you wouldn't want someone to say it to your daughter). A couple of civilians picked him up and threw him off at the next stop. Everyone cheered.

crazycrackernanna · 12/12/2011 08:52

If he was a Policeman,he should have identified himself. If he was a bouncer,he wasn't at work so not licensed to carry out physical ejections from a train.

Yes there is a problem with people who think they can do what they like....the big thug being exactly that. Two wrongs do not make a right.

mumto2andnomore · 12/12/2011 08:54

Hope the 'big man' gets what he deserves what a twat, quite shocked people are defending his violence, wonder if it would be the same if a teen had thrown an older person off a train like that.

jasper · 12/12/2011 08:55

they should employ a team of crack Big Men in secondary schools.

That boy displayed exactly the sort of insolent thuggery teachers have to endure every day.

KittyFane · 12/12/2011 08:55
