I was just browsing a computer forum ( I sometimes take a cheeky dive into the post a picture of yourself thread, some of the guys on there have some lovely jumpers) and I noticed they had a mumsnet thread.
Do you think this thread has good criticism about us? HERE
Sorry I am using a throwaway account as I don't want that forum to know that I am a girl who just goes there to look at the pictures of them.

OP posts:
TethHearseEnd · 27/10/2011 21:45

I liked "Is there a Dadsnet?"

"Porn?"

Grin
storminabuttercup · 27/10/2011 21:46

But why would it be deleted?

What have we done?

Confused
Pan · 27/10/2011 21:47

I liked that tethers too. Like, the internet is TOTALLY devoid of porn, so you may have to go to MN to see some.

southeastastra · 27/10/2011 21:47

they're boring now.

usualsuspect · 27/10/2011 21:48

yeah I'm bored with this now

next .....

TethHearseEnd · 27/10/2011 21:48

We appear to have upset five or six people on the internet, storm.

It's quite serious.

HecateGoddessOfTheNight · 27/10/2011 21:49

you mean they were interesting at one point? Grin

TethHearseEnd · 27/10/2011 21:50

"Most of them also seem incapable of posting without swearing too, it really worries me that such 'people' are allowed children."

They have a point. We are a massive bunch of cunts.

usualsuspect · 27/10/2011 21:51

Well you do have a point there tethers

MonstrouslyNarkyPuffin · 27/10/2011 21:51

This thread is probably being deleted because it was started to attempt to stir up trouble with another forum.

AgentZigzag · 27/10/2011 21:52

Grin at sweary people being banned from having children.

That'd include their parents then...?

storminabuttercup · 27/10/2011 21:53

Ah! I didn't know it would be deleted for that! You are right though we are all fucking cunts, our swearing is twatting atrocious!

KaFayOLay · 27/10/2011 21:54

Yes, they are spot on Grin

Thingumy · 27/10/2011 21:55

this comes from those who deem it acceptable to use the words 'retard' and the term 'spazzing out'

usualsuspect · 27/10/2011 21:56

exactly Thingumy

MrsDreadfullyMorbidMausoleum · 27/10/2011 21:57

Wow, people like 'us' having children and swearing.

Jesus.

We'll be having sex next.

Grin
Tidybush · 27/10/2011 21:58

They don't seem to have much of a selection of avatars do they?

Thingumy · 27/10/2011 21:59

what,with our wizard sleeves? mrs

usualsuspect · 27/10/2011 21:59

Its outrageous to swear apparently ,but acceptable to use those words

HecateGoddessOfTheNight · 27/10/2011 22:01

did you see the link? their good works. fundraising?

Like us then, with our
annual christmas secret santa to members going through tough times
and our regular collections to bereaved mners
and staying up all night giving support to people in crisis
and tracking down people in trouble and helping them
and arranging paypal funds for people in a terrible situation
etc etc etc

I think before they claim some sort of moral superiority, they should be aware of this.

HeadlessForHocusPocus · 27/10/2011 22:01

"We appear to have upset five or six people on the internet, storm.

TethHearseEnd Grin

I like the intelligent- "go back to neglecting your kids" posted at 9.30 pm

Also the casual use of retarded is far more offensive than a cheerful fuckety cunt etc on here.

AgentZigzag · 27/10/2011 22:02

It'd be nice to see a couple of pictures of Patrick Stewart hanging about in MN though Tidy.

HeadlessForHocusPocus · 27/10/2011 22:02

Hecate and the blankets too :(

HecateGoddessOfTheNight · 27/10/2011 22:03

Yes. The blankets.

Supporting people who have lost a child.

God, we're terrible, callous bitches, we are.

KaFayOLay · 27/10/2011 22:03

I am fairly new here and I find the swearing rather over bearing ad unnecessary.
I'm of the it ain't big and it ain't clever school of thought.
BUT there have been umpteen threads on that and I digress.

Just imagine you are from another planet and you choose to look at Mumsnet.
Do you really think the aliens would have a good view and think that the users on here are representative of British mothers?

I sincerely hope not!!

I was directed here from another forum and I only come over here for a laugh when it is quiet on the "normal" one.
So, rightly or wrongly, I agree with the 'Clockers' lot Shock.
