I was just browsing a computer forum ( I sometimes take a cheeky dive into the post a picture of yourself thread, some of the guys on there have some lovely jumpers) and I noticed they had a mumsnet thread.
Do you think this thread has good criticism about us? HERE
Sorry I am using a throwaway account as I don't want that forum to know that I am a girl who just goes there to look at the pictures of them.

Do start one, Foxtrot, I'll come and add my tuppence worth. We've had a lot of problems finding things for DD to drink from!

straws are a no no due to him having a cleft palate which hasnt been fully repaired yet. both I and DW are keen to avoid any straws until thats all taken care of but i'll start a new thread rather than interrupt the geek bashing :)

Your DS will take a cup when he's good and ready. Have you tried him on the sports straw bottles? Nuby do a good range here

well that turned a bit awry didnt it.

unlike some of the ocukers i quite like it here :) i might just pull up a chair and stay a while. a sandwich would be nice though, whilst i peruse your advice on difficult 2yr olds DS2 is not for giving up his bottle and moving onto a cup

The threads haven't been hidden from guests. They've been removed by the Dons. The site is still accessible to you to view as normal. :)

I think it was their mods hiding/locking that particular thread.

Oh Dreams .... :o I manfully (or womanfully) resisted the urge to bring a pussy joke into this grownup discussion we're having.....

True dat. There's cats all over Delphi and Ravelry, too.

Noticed I can no longer read over at OCUK as a guest. Not the Mumsnet thread, anyhow.

I've just finished reading their thread - some of them sound really nice and normal. I might join up - lol I wonder if any of them look like Johnny Depp?

Indeed, this is your forum. We shouldn't really be trying to invade and mediate you. FYI. We have a cat love thread on OCUK with plenty of pictures. Cats really are a universal language.

Pasty - but some of your cohorts' comments were beyond the pale. Hence why one of them has been deleted.

But heigh ho. I agree with Seph in that not all of you should be tarred with the same brush - just as we shouldn't.

But we're not the ones causing trouble in YOUR forum

^ Yay

@howverynice - That is a long list of insults. But there has been a lot of tit for tat you have to admit. (lol tit)

You've given just as much as you've received.

But surely it can be written off as harmless banter. :) I have no problem being perceived as a greasy, spotty teen. It's the nerd Stereotype isnt it.

I've finally read both threads and I have to say, I'm quite impressed by the fact that on their forum, they're trying to find out which one of their members is posting utter crap over here. Yes, they have swear filters but they do appear to be doing a good job of self-policing.

They have their fair share of nutjobs, just as we do, but I think I actually quite like some of their threads.

I'm not about to leave Mumsnet any time soon but, like their member Alaister84 did, I've looked beyond the silliness and see that a lot of people over there have their heads screwed on.

Just sayin'.

Can we have a fun interforum struggle with a bit of light hearted exchanging of insults? Gwan ....
