You're very eager giyagas?

This isn't the only thread i've posted on although i'll post on any thread that takes my fancy thank you.

Who is edd?

And are you missing him?

JanHal · 21/10/2011 23:35

And as stated that at the time of penetration she is awake and willing your argument falls rather short of legal definition.

A woman who is happy in the situation with her partner is not going to ever take the issue to court anyway. She doesnt consider she is being raped, so why would she?

mrsjacko · 21/10/2011 23:39

You've been reported MNP.

If you can't be civil do be quiet instead.

giyadas · 21/10/2011 23:40

My point wasn't to declare who should feel raped, my point was this very specific case shouldn't be clogging up this thread.
Why so invested in this specific situation that you won't let the thread move on?

giyadas · 21/10/2011 23:44

And one of the women stated that she woke after penetration, so you're actually taking a very rare case from a rare type of situation and trying to focus everyone on it as though it was the most important issue.

You've been reported too giyadas.

Because you're trying to shoehorn your ridiculous theory into a situation that doesn't allow it to fit, you're getting abusive.

Good on you for showing your true colours.

Why assume Edd's a he mrsjacko?

AyeScream · 21/10/2011 23:48

The thing is, no-one is telling any partner of a "sexomniac" that they should go to the police. Or even saying that to the male "sexomniac" in the case of an awake partner, given that it is technically sexual assault. But there are plenty of people saying that penetration of a sleeping person is not rape. And that's incorrect. I know it's not very nice if there is a cosy understanding, but it is the law. No-one's watching through the curtains and I don't want them to, but what I would like is a clear understanding of what constitutes rape among far more of the populace than is current. That way solid convictions lie for the bullshitting rapists who take the stand.

mrsjacko · 21/10/2011 23:49

I would think the use of the name "Edd" would make anyone draw tha conclusion.

That was a stupid question.

Why assume that I meant to post on this thread? Or that it was in any way targeted at you?

MonstrouslyNarkyPuffin · 21/10/2011 23:51

Welcome to MN BTW.

mrsjacko · 21/10/2011 23:52

You've been reported again giyadas.

I bet you're proud of yourself?

DontCallMeFrothyDragon · 21/10/2011 23:52

VERY similar posting style, Wooopity (I missed a few o's out - sorry)

giyadas · 21/10/2011 23:53

Jokes on a rape thread?

That just about says it all doesn't it?

Carry on.

Wooooooooooooooppity · 21/10/2011 23:54

That's a bit of an aggressive response MrsJ. I disagree that it's a stupid question, Edd doesn't sound like a name to me, it sounds like an abbreviation of 3 words beginning with E, D and D.

But if you know better...

mrsjacko · 21/10/2011 23:55

You don't think EDD is a name?

That's hilarious.

edam · 22/10/2011 00:00

one thing that could help to bring down the level of acquaintance/partner rape would be if parents of sons educated those children. I plan to tell ds that he must always be very, very sure that any girls he has sex with consent, not only at the start but all the way through. That someone who is unconscious or extremely drunk is not capable of consent, so leave them alone. And I am already bringing him up to understand that people, men and women, have human rights including the right to bodily autonomy.
