To be a bit shocked at how "mainstream" anal sex has become between couples?

for the record i'm not a prude or against it in anyway.

I'm just shocked about how much more everyone seems to talk about it now, there seems to have been such a change in attitudes about it.

Until recently everyone seemed to think it was a bit "dirty" or "naughty" but now all my friends seem to be falling overthemselves to discuss it and I have even seem references to it on this morning the last few days.

Do you think Keith Lemmon and his smashing back doors in is to blame?

Anal sex has become more "mainstream", alarmingly also in teenagers.

mumofbumblebea · 14/10/2011 12:21

and i thought that generation were meant to be prudes...

TheTenantOfWildfellHall · 14/10/2011 12:21

Not in this house. Mine's a one way poo chute thanks.

OriginalGhoster · 14/10/2011 12:24

This reminds me of the unfortunate NHS sign I once saw

FAMILY PLANNING ADVICE CLINIC
please use rear entrance

[hgrin]

mumofbumblebea · 14/10/2011 12:27

OriginalGhoster that made me laugh.

maybe we need to be encouraging teenagers to "go vintage" and use the armpit??

tryingtoleave · 14/10/2011 12:28

Do you think you would have to be very sweaty for armpit sex to work?

PetiteRaleuse · 14/10/2011 12:29

With the fashion to remain a virgin the the US a lot of teens are having anal sex as it apparently doesn't count Hmm

I think it has become more mainstream to talk about it in the UK, but I think a lot of people were already doing it.

I think men have a tendancy to expect it a little more than twenty years ago (I'm basing that on hearsay as 20 years ago I was only 10) possibly because everyone's talking about it.

DrinkYourWeakLemonDrinkNow · 14/10/2011 12:32

GrinGosh and I thought anyone who could play tunes using their armpit was talented < Marvels at armpit sex in an air-raid shelter> One for Gransnet there possibly.

OriginalGhoster · 14/10/2011 12:33

MoFo

I want to hear more about your great aunt's sex tips

AngryFeet · 14/10/2011 12:36

I would think it is just men and either young girls who are trying to appear "up for anything" to get male attention or people who work in the sex industry who would say in public that they like to take it/give it in the arse.

I mean seriously, it bloody hurts! I have tried it twice and no way would I ever do it again.

Barnowl39 · 14/10/2011 12:37

Bluddymofo the dog just looked at me as if i was mental as i laughed out loud at your post. Absolutely brilliant!

cuteboots · 14/10/2011 12:39

ha ha ha ! cant stop laughing this has cheered me up today. The penis in the armpit bit has now got me wondering how that would work! On the anal sex bit not on my watch Im afraid. Cant stop chuckling!!!

loveglove · 14/10/2011 12:41

haha bum sex and armpit sex. Exit only in my book!

QuincyMincemeat · 14/10/2011 12:44

armpit sex=bagpiping

FrillyMilly · 14/10/2011 12:56

Has it really become more common or is it just its prevalence in porn that leads people to believe this? It isn't done in our house nor do I know anyone who openly admits to it. I dont get it. I certainly can't imagine it being pleasurable.

Dirtydishesmakemesad · 14/10/2011 12:57

I think people talk about it alot more now, i dont suppose they were so keen when they didnt have the cover of internet forums - not something you strike up a conversation about in a supermarket etc.
I have vague memories in uni of being read accounts of anal sex being used as contraception in various periods of history that was fairly graphic so im not sure it has ever been particularly rare.

GetOrfMo1Land · 14/10/2011 13:00

Do women really enjoy this? I can understand why men can physically, but women? It is a bit worrying how it is mainstream.

PorkChopSter · 14/10/2011 13:04

I'm struggling with the geography of armpit vs fanjo - wouldn't the bloke realise?

Oh I was wondering about this the other day.

I think it's horrible
I really do not see why it is fashionable

I mean you can imagine the sort of people who shop at M&S doing it

times really have changed
I'd refuse to be intimate with anyone who would even consider asking me to do it.

babyheavingmassofmaggots · 14/10/2011 13:11

Yes, its Bumsex Day.

Right, I wouldn't say its fashionable.

I am getting on a bit and over the years a number of my friends have shared that they indulge in Chocolate Speedway Racing once in a while.

GetDerridaThePeskyLurkers · 14/10/2011 13:12

I agree it's people trying to be 'hard' and 'i'm game for anything' and all that nonsense

it's the shock value as much as anything I think. It's attention seeking.

I've never been with a man who wanted to try it tbh.

OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias · 14/10/2011 13:16

My first reaction was YABU, on the grounds that whatever consenting adults want to do with each other is fine by me.

However, I sort of agree with you...because the more of a "mainstream" activity it is perceived to be, the more I worry that my DH may feel he's missing out because it ain't never happening in my house.

He's never asked, by the way. Mainly because he knows perfectly well what the answer would be.

If he ever does ask I shall offer him my armpit instead. [hsmile]

MrsStephenFry · 14/10/2011 13:16

All the rage in my house, can't think why. Especially as he insists on calling me Duncan.
