to wonder if we might need a whole new section for dedicated Frothing Berserkers?

There seem to be a lot of people at the moment who really enjoy a good old frothing berserker. Wouldn't it be a good idea to give them a section of their own so they could all really enjoy themselves and leave the rest of us alone?

When I was in hospital, after giving birth to DS1, my PILs arrived unannounced. Dispatched my existing visitors (my 2 best friends) and then gave me a box of Newberry Fruits.

Oh god newberry fruits are so vile.

When I'd just had ds, my dsis smuggled in ready made G&Ts, half a bottle of champs and a smoked salmon salad.

I received shocking quantities of booze. And sushi. Was great (sorry BIWI).

But bringing this back to me [self-centred emoticon] do you ever wonder, when everyone else is frothing madly, if actually you're the one who's in the wrong? Confused

champagne? G&Ts? Smoked salmon? Sushi? - you ladies are starting to really sell childbirth over here. Not like the last discussion I heard on this when a friend's daughter (friend has 4 DCs, youngest a few weeks old) goes "so Mommy, how painful is childbirth?" friend looks at me, me looking expectant, friend looks a bit freaked out and says "now is not the time to discuss this". Damn.

there's a great line in the TV show Black Books when Fran is going to be the birth partner of her friend "she'll be on drugs, I'll be drunk - it will be like the old days!"

Grin Abs

It was slightly (and I mean slightly - I certainly wasn't complaining) embarassing. All the other women on the ward were surrounded by helium ballons and flowers and pink/blue teddy bears.
