Yes...def love of my life...

Thats not to say i dont have to 'choose' to love him sometimes iyswim....

Tiredmumno1 · 02/09/2011 21:13

Grin @ kitty, dont worry about it

deemented · 02/09/2011 21:14

One of them.

DH was one of them too. I loved him so, so much and i miss him every day.

Manshape... well, he was my first, and last love. I love the bones of him.

DizzyKipper · 02/09/2011 21:15

Yep, I'm very lucky Smile

bibbitybobbityhat · 02/09/2011 21:18

Pmsl at "forum police" - how original.

PeterSpanswick · 02/09/2011 21:21

One of! There is one who got away (swoon!) but DH is by far the better partner. If I'm honest with myself I don't think the other guy would have been a life-long love.

KittyFane · 02/09/2011 21:23

What's up Bibbity? Brew

dadinthemiddle · 02/09/2011 21:24

Gay40 and Kitty - arent 'one of' and 'the love of my life' contradictions in terms. You see me and DH have discussions like this and it always ends up me in shreds in dispute. I just think 'the one' completely wipes out all the others - or should - and those kind of statements make me feel insecure.

But then I am a paranoid neurotic and am just so grateful glad to have found someone I love who puts up with me.

< runs away sobbing>

KittyFane · 02/09/2011 21:24

Peter- exactly the same here!

Yes. And he is a lucky bastard. He really is. He knows it.

dadinthemiddle · 02/09/2011 21:26

OH or DW even

reelingintheyears · 02/09/2011 21:26

Forum police?

You asked the question.

fedupofnamechanging · 02/09/2011 21:29

I don't think I believe in 'the one'. Of all the people on the planet, there are thousands that each one of us could love and have very happy lives with.

KittyFane · 02/09/2011 21:29

dadinthemiddle- I think it's ok to have great loves of your life (plural)... My DD, friend's, ex loves, family ... Trouble is, DP doesn't come before everyone else ... In other words, he isn't the love of my life.
I'm not his either!!!!

This thread reminds me of the Tim Minchin song...

mummymccar · 02/09/2011 21:31

Yes, still makes me smile when I see or think about him. blush

beanandspud · 02/09/2011 21:32

Yes, he is. After 17 years I can't imagine us not being together.

Will I feel the same when he is old and incontinent/dribbling? Hmmmmm.
