Names like Gemma82 or yummymummy1.

There's so much choice. Obviously I'm a sucker for a bad pun. But I love the variety of names on here - great song lyrics, obscure references that I feel compelled to go off and google (and never google again in the case of dragon butter), bizarre word combinations and so on.

There are some notable exceptions but normally I make an assumption that if a poster can't think of an interesting name then they won't have anything interesting to say.

Mardybra Yes I agree with you. I'm struggling to change to something more up-beat and up-market and witty but can't come up with anything.Smile

People with these names invariably have twigs and pebbly shit in their house. And brown leather sofas. Like large elephant scrota

porcamiseria · 31/08/2011 09:17

bitchy post, BITCHY!!!! and your name aint all that

mosschops30 · 31/08/2011 09:17

mardybra you sound like one of those mums from school who dont talk to other mums because they didnt go to their high school/dcs went to same nursery etc etc.
What a sad childish woman you must be, enjoy congregating in the playground talking about shite for the next 10 years whilst the rest of us habe a life.

FWIW i read the post not the name, i dont do cliques

nenevomito · 31/08/2011 09:18

porcamiseria - you missed the girlfriend off the end of your post.

MardyBra · 31/08/2011 09:19

Crosswordaddict. No problems with your name. It makes you sound intellectual so I'll happily assume you're clverer than me interesting

LadyFlumpalot · 31/08/2011 09:19

I had a fluffier name at first, I got ignored. This is still quite fluffy in comparison to others, but I like it. It is relevant to my life and my son without being vomit inducingly (is that even a word?) cute.

porcamiseria · 31/08/2011 09:19

LOL

oops, will LOL offend OP

and if people stop making unfunny jobes about the usage of the word "hun" really annoys me this pathetic NM baiting

mummyforeverandaday · 31/08/2011 09:19

hi everyone x

this is my very first post on MumsNet and i hope you don't treat me like that - lol

HallnotOates · 31/08/2011 09:19

Mosschops? Is that you?

You've come over all teenage.

TheMagnificentBathykolpian · 31/08/2011 09:20

Yes, you are. They might have something amazing to say.

Never only read the posts by people you 'know', you will miss so much.

(Is my name ok? Grin)

LoveBeingIgnoredByMardyBra · 31/08/2011 09:21

How about this name instead Grin

mosschops30 · 31/08/2011 09:22

How so?

I cant bear this type of 'im better than you thread' its just a way for sad people to feel better about themselves (whilst making newbies feel a bit crap). Just read the post fgs and if you can help, then do

MardyBra · 31/08/2011 09:22

Oh I quite happily admit it was a bit bitchy.

I'm actually very sweet at the school gates.

We could have a newbie naming section for people who find it nard to choose names. Like the baby name section, only a lot sillier.

It would give the compulsive punsters something to get their teeth into. Grin

OriginalPoster · 31/08/2011 09:23

Nard? Hard...

Cheria · 31/08/2011 09:23

Everyone started on here at some point. It's a bit mean to judge someone by their name. You wouldn't do that in RL.

Mitmoo · 31/08/2011 09:23

I'm not worried about names, though. I was told by some idiot poster quite rudely to change my name as it was close to someone elses who I've never ever seen posting anywhere since. If the name was free and I picked it, I'm keeping it. Its not very interesting but after a much loved, squashed and deceased pussy cat who never 100% grasped the concept of the Green Cross Code.

WiiUnfit · 31/08/2011 09:23

MissPenteuth I hate text-speak, I have been known to delete people from fb for illiterated status updates: "X as jus bin the shop 4 sum fags"

Even worse if the status has an 'x' on the end. Sadly my Sister is one of the worst & I can't delete her without getting an earful. Angry

mummsieluvsherbabies12 · 31/08/2011 09:23

Hi
