LeBOF · 30/08/2011 15:29

Was it mine about willies? That always goes down well.

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:31

Blush only cos I deleted my mn account in a bigger fit of temper, then couldn't get it back again... Blush Blush

LineRunner · 30/08/2011 15:31

Can I just say, that you can call it whatever you like, but leaving a hungry baby to cry for hours because you feel like it, is just fucking wrong. Fucking Wrong Crying, maybe. Uncontrolled Arsehole Parenting, possibly. But 'controlled'? Just calling it that exacerbates the arseholiness of it all.

And I really think that this was all best left on weaning where the exchange of views was robust but certainly not vicious.

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:31

lebof definitely!

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:32

agreed linerunner thank you

DirtyMartini · 30/08/2011 15:34

Oh well, good on you for coming back :)

Animation · 30/08/2011 15:35

Hey JParkson - you're doing a great job - don't take any of this stuff personally. Wink

It's just band wagon letting off steam and joking around stuff.

TheBigJessie · 30/08/2011 15:35

Ooh, are you named after book?

I loved that book when I was a child.

LineRunner · 30/08/2011 15:36

JParkson, You certainly don't have to agree with anything I say!

Sorry - hadn't seen your post from just before. But I do think that the phrase 'controlled crying' is the work of satan.

Hope everything's OK and don't forget you have given a memorable phrase to MN. Smile

TheBigJessie · 30/08/2011 15:36

*this book

I messed up the link in my above post.

TheMagnificentBathykolpian · 30/08/2011 15:37

Grin many of us have done the same thing. I lost my best ever nickname in the Grand Tantrum of 2010 Sad

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:41

yeah but I did over-react massively a teeeeeeeeny bit! line

I was so stoked up at the first few posts, then started thinking, then laughing at the later ones, I couldn't help come back!

And I'm sooooooooooooooooo sorry for threatening to desert to NM

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:42

TBJ not intentionally!

I was doing a play on words between my name and Jeremy Clarkson. The guy annoys the hell out of me in his columns, but I love him on TG

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:43

thanks dirty and animation :)

Animation · 30/08/2011 15:45

JParkson

Big squeeze from me. Grin

FoundWanting · 30/08/2011 15:48

Ahhh. A happy ending. Lovely. Grin

SpringHeeledJack · 30/08/2011 15:50

I'm not that arsed about what you do with your baby, tbh, but I'll give you a great big bastard Backdraft stylee flaming for admitting to liking Top Gear

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:50

on another note, I was feeding DD whilst fuming/thinking/laughing, and she hoovered her lunch down, marmite sandwich with grapes followed by... yoghurt lol :o

Some days you win...!

Still had to stop her from throwing chewed-up-lumps at the dogs though!

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:52

sorry springheeled! Blush :o

SpringHeeledJack · 30/08/2011 15:56
Grin

as for feeding, once I recall dd refused to eat lovingly crafted greek yogurt with honey and stewed raspberries I'd picked that very morn with my own fair hand

I jumped up and down repeatedly shouting "just eat your fucking lunch"

I am pleased to say she has no issues with food

her language is, however, fucking appalling

JParkson · 30/08/2011 15:59

pmsl, what gets to me is that she'll happily ignore her food feed the dogs, but she'll nick mine to kingdom come!

WTF?!

TheBigJessie · 30/08/2011 16:10

Toddlers like to be like mummy, and eat Mummy's food. Use it to your advantage.

I always tell myself that it's evolution. If a toddler will only eat food that s/he saw mummy eat some of, then that toddler would be less likely to randomly pick and eat unripe fruit/poisonous toadstools.

It may be absolute nonsense, with no evidence for it, but it's very comforting!

KurriKurri · 30/08/2011 16:11

Oh well done to you for coming back OP, - and I love you forever for 'woof to you lady' - it made my day Grin

VeraCanSignChocolateAndWine · 30/08/2011 16:17

Definitely not flamed. But you should have been for saying woof to you lady :o
