on this thread?

OP posts:
LadyBeagleEyes · 30/08/2011 13:48

I'd escape to netmums now OP, everyone on this thread is starting to warm up nicely.
And to make your child clear her plate, not give her a yoghurt, let her cry and then make a remark about chicken nuggets was worthy of a much worst flaming IMO.

ConstanceNoring · 30/08/2011 13:48

See you could get your very own emoticon, OP.

AnneWiddecomesArse · 30/08/2011 13:48

If you don't like alternative opinions; don't seek them.
There is nothing more irritating than a person asking a question, when they think they already know all the answers.

OriginalPoster · 30/08/2011 13:48

YABU

That was a debate, not a flaming.

AuntieMonica · 30/08/2011 13:48

she's not done her 5 mins yet.

Ormirian · 30/08/2011 13:48

woof ?

My dog says that to me. Should I be miffed?

Greensleeves · 30/08/2011 13:49

lol

happy birthday dear mumsnet
happy birthday to you....

people love piling in on threads like this (me included)

you're completely arsing up your dd's eating, sleeping and emotional development. You're punishing a baby for being a baby. You're not a HV by any chance, are you?

scuzy · 30/08/2011 13:50

Ormirian the dog wants a chicken nugget when he says "woof"!

ConstanceNoring · 30/08/2011 13:50

he may even get a yoghurt for pud.

tethersend · 30/08/2011 13:51

Grin at that being a flaming.

Actually, I'm not sure NM would be right for you either.

Have you tried saying your opinion out loud to an empty room? Or perhaps in a field?

That's the only way nobody will disagree with you.

scuzy · 30/08/2011 13:51

only if he eats all of his chicken nugget mind you ...

TheVermiciousKnid · 30/08/2011 13:52

'Ormirian the dog wants a chicken nugget when he says "woof"!'

And if the dog doesn't finish the whole chicken nugget, I would advise a spot of CB. Wink

LoveBeingAtHomeOnMyOwn · 30/08/2011 13:52

A thread about a threads not gonna get you a better response either tbh.

AuntieMonica · 30/08/2011 13:52

arf @ CB

Grin
CreepyWeeBrackets · 30/08/2011 13:53

YABU.

Bananagate (2008) was a real flaming Grin

WhiffOfBath · 30/08/2011 13:54

It wasn't remotely a flaming - but there are some pretty nasty comments on this thread now. It's like being stuck with all the school bullies you've ever known. Sad

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, as I am always telling my DC.

scuzy · 30/08/2011 13:54

aw TheVermiciousKind thats awful!!! your setting the dog up for a very unhealthy view on his pedigree chum! next he wont crap without a doggie treat and when he does it will be in the salad drawer of the fridge and why????? cos of CB!!!

usualsuspect · 30/08/2011 13:55

I was waiting for the you are all bullies post

I didn't have to wait long

Sadly, you didn't. That is because it's true. Sad

LeBOF · 30/08/2011 13:56

Is that a Lord Flashheart "Woof"? Because I'd like one of those.

nenevomito · 30/08/2011 13:57

If that's a flaming, MN has really let its standards slip.

redglow · 30/08/2011 13:58

Its a discussion site which means people are allowed to disagree that the idea.

ConstanceNoring · 30/08/2011 13:59

I miss a good flaming, my arse is positively pastey these days.

LadyFlumpalot · 30/08/2011 13:59

Oh come on, that was hardly a flaming. I suggest you search for and read threads where the OP or subsequent posters have been opinionated/rude/ignorant about smacking, boarding schools and benefits if you want to see a real flaming...
