Panties is creepy and horrible
Kids is also horrible, but in the singular it's even worse -- "having a kid"

I once saw a letter writer upbraided by the agony aunt in a local paper for referring to 'having sex' rather than 'making love', because if he didn't see it as 'making love', no wonder he and his wife were having problems. I just thought maybe he wanted to get the letter written without being sick on his keyboard.
