Xenia I wonder how many of those people who left the concentration camps had serious health problems for the rest of their lives because they were starved half to death?
I looked after a women when I worked in a nursing home who spent years in a concentration camp, she had dementia and relived it every day for years, she didn't eat much as she saved half her food hiding it as if she was worried that she might not get any more for days, unfortunately she never remembered where she put it so we had to sneak in her room when she wasn't there to remove it before it got mouldy. You couldn't go through her room while she was there as it obviously brought back memory's of her room/ home being raided. We offered her food every few hours so that she ate more.
She was raped repeatedly and allthough she needed help washing and dressing it was difficult and sometimes deeply upsetting, helping her or if she was having a bad day watching her struggle to do it herself, she was a very proud lady who liked to look her best but this wasn't always possible due to the flash backs, she was also scared of the male carers and residents.
As the dementia got worse she forgot how to speak English and reverted back to polish, it must have been extremely frightening for her to have so many people around her speaking a language she no longer understood
So excuse me for thinking your comment is stupid, irrelevant , distressing and totally uncalled for and if you can't see that then there is something seriously wrong with you. People being starved half to death should not be used by you to make a point that if you don't eat you get thin, would you use someone suffering from anorexia in the same way to prove your pathetic point?
