I've always been quite anti smoking had a gran who dies of lung cancer, but since I was pregnant with DD and now that I'm out and about with her it really angers me when people are smoking in public areas, if it were up to me I'd ban smoking in all public places ie high streets, door ways to, restaurants, childrens play areas etc and don't even get me started on the bit outside the hospital and make people smoke in smoking rooms or back streets. I got abuse from a woman the other day who came over to speak to DD and puffed her smoke all over her when I asked her not to.

I stopped smoking 18 years ago and am the person standing behind you as you exhale ...inhaling so hard that I nearly turn inside out.

Actually there may be something to that method of smoking.

And they were only titchy tiny little rollups. Hardy any tobacco at all, and most of that ended up on my tongue.

When DH and I retire, we are taking up smoking as a hobby instead of golf or gardening

Another one here who has switched to roll ups due to the economic crisis.

'Normal' fags just feel so big and 'wrong' now.

A friend of mine pointed out that smoking rollies is probably 'better' than smoking fags, less chemicals, see ?

I don't know how much truth is in it, but like Fabby have lots more pennies since switching.....thinking about how much we used to waste spend on 'normal cigs' is scary.

Is it chic is it? Is that only when you smoke them in them there black roly papers? The liqourice ones?

I've smoked roll ups for over 20 years now. Only takes about 10 minutes at night to roll about 20 and keep them in a wee tin (about 99p from poundstretchers or similar). I even put filter tips in mine.

Why Fabby? You made a valid point. Tax on fags is huge and probably a bigger contribution to their revenue than we realise.

Ahhhh...Cherry tobacco with liqorice papers..bloody beautiful. That's the one thing I miss about Warrington, the baccy shop. I never found a shop like it since anywhere else.

Cherry tobacco ? What an no nicotine! In fact Im going to roll one right now. I can roll one whilst driving now too! ha ha ha Shush don't tell the old bill! It's worse than driving on your mobile!

I use filter tips too (unlike tonight where they've all been used up), menthol ones.

I cant roll by hand, I've tried but just can do it. I have to use a rolling machine.

Anyone ever raided the ashtray for just enough for a prison rollie?
