where they get broken in gently?

OP posts:
Thumbwitch · 19/08/2011 15:18

No mozzies??? See, I want to live somewhere like that. I hate mozzies. They Lurrrve me. They see me coming out the door; or they hover at the door jamb waiting until I open it so they can zoom in and hide until later. I can be outside for about 3 minutes before the first one finds me and it will send out a signal to all the others that dinner has appeared.

Amazingly, they're not as itchy as the UK bites, and definitely not as much as the bites from Italian bastards (zanzara for anyone who needs to know).

nenevomito · 19/08/2011 15:21

Nope. We do have gnats and the odd invasion of midgies, but not mozzies.

boudiccasSideKick · 19/08/2011 15:22

Soz Moomins, at work and have to keep going, grrrr, how dare people keep asking me to do stuff!

Moomins is now in my "New Bridage" Let's go have some "proper fun" sweetheart.

Passing thought to all on here though.

I remember once being in a new job, the girl who was there was total bitch and made me feel very small and inadequate. Wouldnt show me how anything was done, guess she was feeling threatened. I ended up having a stand up row with her. Things changed after that for some "strange" reason.

After that I always took the newbies under my wing.

SuePurblybilt · 19/08/2011 15:26

Sue - you've completely missed the point - 'things you wouldn't see ( or hear in this case ) on Cbeebies -
and there isn't any swearing in 'shagging & coke is my game' -

Oh dear. There certainly have been some points missed, haven't there? Do I need to say it all again with smaller words or shall I just leave it?
Just leave it then Grin.

MoominsAreScary · 19/08/2011 15:30

Ohh were are we going breastfeeding or step parents they scare me the most!

I used to work in a place that being mean to the newbies was seen as some sort of initiation where you had to prove yourself worthy before anyone would talk to you!

boudiccasSideKick · 19/08/2011 15:37

Alas, we swim with sharks huh hun!

Let's be bold and leave this lot to their "tedious bug conversations" and go to the "step parent" section, my breast feeding days are over but I'll soon have 3 larger new additions to the family

MoominsAreScary · 19/08/2011 15:46

I used to have step children so yes let's give that a go!

carminagoesprimal · 19/08/2011 16:01

Oh gawd - did I miss the point that you hadn't actually missed the point? Grin

Asmodeus · 19/08/2011 16:03

I cyber-ran all the way over here from Netmums yesterday. I actually felt my brain waking up after finding this site! The novelty of being able to type "Fuck" without a swear filter has set me free!!

SuePurblybilt · 19/08/2011 16:04

It matters not carmina. Let's be friends and find someone else to bitch at Grin. What are your thoughts on Wolefs?

nenevomito · 19/08/2011 16:06

OK now newbies, gather round, gather round.

Can you hear me OK in the back? Yes?? Good!

Ok, so can anyone else point out to me the school girl error made by boudiccasSideKick above? Hmm? Anyone?

Yes ConstanceSnoring?

Well done! That's right! If you are going to purposefully go and stir on a part of a forum, don't announce your plans.

And yes?

Yes you're right class! You would also have to be a special kind of stupid to not only announce that you are going to do it, but where you are going to do it.

I hope we have all learned something today and can move on as bright and happy Mumsnetters.

Mwah!

SuePurblybilt · 19/08/2011 16:10

Me! Me miss!
She said hun too miss, she did!

ConstanceNoring · 19/08/2011 16:10

PinotsKittens · 19/08/2011 16:16

Whats a wet willy? Other than the obvious?

Constance your new name is vair good

nenevomito · 19/08/2011 16:18

I believe a wet willy is when one sticks a saliva covered finger into the lug'ole of ones companion.

If its not, I am not sure I want to know.

carminagoesprimal · 19/08/2011 16:18

I'd love to be your friend Sue >

What are my thoughts on wolefs? - (I'm guessing you meant wolves ?)
Hmm - Very random question but I like wacky people -
I quite like them actually - hound of the Baskervilles is one of my favourite films. Smile

SuePurblybilt · 19/08/2011 16:19

Licked finger in the ear, Pinot. Will I do you one?

PinotsKittens · 19/08/2011 16:20

If you'd be so obliged, Sue dear, I would be grateful to accept of your offering.

SuePurblybilt · 19/08/2011 16:21

Oh good Carmina, excellent. The more wolef fans the better (there are haters here you know. Haters).

Hound of the Baskervilles scares me stupid as it happens Grin I think of it whenever I drive down to a local town (I live near Dartmoor) and get the shivers. That and Magwitch.

carminagoesprimal · 19/08/2011 16:51

You're very lucky to live near such a beautiful place - I've only been to Dartmoor once but I adored it.
H of the B isn't scary at all (for me) - I find things that are supposed to be fun and friendly scary - like clowns and porcelain dolls. I knew someone who collected those dolls - her bedroom was full of the damn things - I felt they were all staring at me and was genuinely creeped out by them Grin

SuePurblybilt · 19/08/2011 17:14

YY to clowns and dolls . And scarecrows on the brow of the hill. Scary.

MoominsAreScary · 19/08/2011 18:17

Scarecrows ew makes me think of jeepers creepers, that's scary
