And those huge sun flowers - scarily triffid like.

devonshiredumpling · 19/08/2011 19:35

nenevomito · 19/08/2011 19:39

Hello devonshire :)

I'm also creeped out by those dolls with those hideous staring eyes. And clowns. Yes, clowns are just wrong.

devonshiredumpling · 19/08/2011 19:41

those dancing flowers creep me out

nenevomito · 19/08/2011 20:13

reelingintheyears · 19/08/2011 21:32

devonshiredumpling · 19/08/2011 21:46

Whatmeworry · 19/08/2011 21:47

Shot a Wolef in my pyjamas once. What it was doing in them I'll never know.

(X Marx the spot...)

boudiccasSideKick · 19/08/2011 23:42

well huns, see your having a ball still in a very grown up world! lol

DrPolidori · 20/08/2011 18:55

See, girls? perfect example of the humourless intruder trying to attain amusement value by the deeply suspect "LOL" and gratuitious use of 'Huns"

Carmina, thank you so much for your contribution, I meant to add that my response was of course a deeply patronising and dismissive post, well documented as a reply on MN.

You are booked for the upper sixths next week? Yes?

Come to my study afterwards and we shall share some fine tea.

nenevomito · 20/08/2011 19:13

LOL?

But I don't want to Lick Out Lemurs.

DrPolidori · 20/08/2011 19:15

My dear, sweet, overseas aunt still signs off her fb posts with LOL....I can't bring myself to correct her...

judgejudyforpm · 20/08/2011 19:35

ehhm ehhm, excuse me please sir, why is lol not allowed? Does it have something to do with lazy?

DrPolidori · 20/08/2011 20:21

yes, judge, its very lazy. Please refer to Notebook 2, which you should have got on enrollment.

"LOL" or laugh out loud. Used frequently as a sign of idiocy or a patronising put down. (pace use of MN emoticons, clause ii)

OP posts:
Whatmeworry · 20/08/2011 20:33

Oh so lol isn't allowed then, whatever happened to freedom of speech Hmm

< practicing passive aggressive sarcastic Hmm usage for when not able to win the point :o >

DrPolidori · 20/08/2011 20:35

ten out of ten Worry! You have encapsulated the contradiction at the heart of ANY forum!

OP posts:
judgejudyforpm · 20/08/2011 20:44

Yes, but sir, my son taught me it? should I be worried Confused. What about the hun one. Been on dating sites and wanted to crawl into computer and bash the life out of the blokes who used it. Is it in same category as said lol?

DrPolidori · 20/08/2011 20:56

Judge. For starters, please don't call me Sir! Miss will suffice.

As for dating, lordy me, lol never to be used. retain femine mystery, my dear!

As for Hun, it has been so discredited it has no place in ANY internet community, redolent as it is as patronising superiority or stupidity begging for accomplices.

OP posts:
reelingintheyears · 20/08/2011 21:04

Those bloody Huns.

They were BARBARIANS .

judgejudyforpm · 20/08/2011 21:09

DrPolidori · 21/08/2011 00:19
