I consider myself an active proponent of equality of opportunity and a stern critic of discrimination... and yet I find that I can't identify with many of the viewpoints I encounter on the MN feminism page (and often say so). AIBU?

Haha, of course not, Claw. I'm a pretty feminine feminist. Feminism didn't campaign for the rights for our body to have what we did with our bodies dictated. Wink If that makes sense. We all have slightly different views.

Wamster, I'll be honest. When I saw your name, I thought you were going to be on Jenny's side following the pasting you got last week. Glad to see you think she's being unreasonable. Wink

BelleDameSansMerci · 15/08/2011 12:47

I'm a Footwear Feminist and I'm Proud... Grin

AnyFucker · 15/08/2011 12:48

PP, no you wouldn't tar a lot of Feminists the same

but Bonnielassie did

that was my point

Hagocrat · 15/08/2011 12:49

way to drag up the horrific experiences of a poster from another thread Posie

out of order

HandDivedScallopsrgreat · 15/08/2011 12:49

I like froth on my coffee. That probably makes me one of those frothy mouth ones every so often.

organicgardener · 15/08/2011 12:49

Don't mention the "Smear" thread where a poster (Name omitted ) ranted on about smear test were a tool used by Men to rape Women with metal objects.

Mental Confused

DontCallMeDragon · 15/08/2011 12:50

Hagocrat beat me to it... :( Hope the poster from that thread isn't reading this.

AnyFucker · 15/08/2011 12:50

I like my Angel Delight a bit "frothy"

especially the butterscotch flavour

LaBelleFrotheur · 15/08/2011 12:51
DontCallMeDragon · 15/08/2011 12:51

Might go get some Angel Delight later... It's been too long Strawberry, of course...

AnyFucker · 15/08/2011 12:52

OG, that thread got (generally) the reaction it deserved, tbh

or did you just read the OP ?

Whatmeworry · 15/08/2011 12:52

Hagocrat to be fair she was asked for examples, and they will be on other threads.

Ormirian · 15/08/2011 12:53

Don't you?

AnyFucker · 15/08/2011 12:53

oh, I like that name, LaBelleFrotheur Smile

marvelous darlink

DontCallMeDragon · 15/08/2011 12:53

Suits you, LaBelleFrotheur...

I'm stuck though. Do I keep DCMD, or become DontCallMeFrothy...

Am I frothy enough to be a frother? Grin

LaBelleFrotheur · 15/08/2011 12:53

Butterscotch, surely?

organicgardener · 15/08/2011 12:53

I read the thread AF and it was disgusting.

You would admit that the OP on that thread had a disgusting view too I hope.

Claw3 · 15/08/2011 12:53

Just been reading a thread on the feminist board and ive found the first comment i disagree with!

AnyFucker · 15/08/2011 12:54

OG, I didn't agree with the poster in question, on that particular point

I have agreed with her on others, though

DontCallMeDragon · 15/08/2011 12:54

But she didn't need to find the most horrific experience posted, and use that...

Seeing as we're all so frothy, she should have been able to find other examples

LaBelleFrotheur · 15/08/2011 12:55

DontCallMeFrothyDragon?

Obv the Butterscotch was re the Angel Delight. Not suggesting DontCallMeButterscotch...

AnyFucker · 15/08/2011 12:56

OG, you are frothing

use of the disgusting word twice in one short post

it has a ring of the Daily Mail about it Wink

OrganicFrother ...I ense another namechange coming along...

AnyFucker · 15/08/2011 12:56

sense

Hagocrat · 15/08/2011 12:56

As a matter of fact the poster TPP cited was talking about some of the horrific experiences she had had at the hands of men.

Is she supposed to say that 'people' did these things to her in order to avoid being called a man-hater on shit-stirring "MN feminists are mean" threads started by trolls?

Ridiculous.
