He has only been in government about 1 year, the economy has flatlined and already there are riots and looting in the streets! He doesnt listen, and just gets everything so wrong!

It would be absolutely hilarious, if only the consequences weren't so tragic.

But I need a good laugh, so AIBU?

2shoes
he's doing it to everybody except the super rich
exactly as Labour would have done

GB had 10 year to clamp down on non doms, offshoring, PFI, hedge funds etc etc
but he didnt. And ALL of the current Labour front bench supported him

DH I are self employed and are thousands of pounds out of pocket already - let alone the drop off in work

ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 19:25

All I can say is thank god Nick Clegg has started talking sense at last, rather than following the fool.

There is now ONE sensible person in the entire government! Yes! God help us!

OP posts:
TalkinPeace2 · 16/08/2011 19:33

ChickenLickn
Nick Clegg can AFFORD to talk sense.
He made his millions ripping us all off in the City before he entered politics!

Seriously though - I was amused to hear DC and EM yesterday nicking my line (used on Ebay, FB and here for at least a year)
There is no "them" there is only "us".
We each individually and as groups have to take responsibility for our actions and the consequences of our actions.
We cannot rely on Politicians or the State or anybody else to do it for us.

or, as my DH says
Tie up your Camel. Only then trust in Allah.

ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 21:11

He talks sense, but unlike David Chaveron there are actually the matching actions behind it.

TalkinPeace2 I disagree, I was never scared for my dd's future under labour.
now I am scared, i can see her life being ruined. yes by a goverment, run by a man who should understand, but so doesn't

ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 21:37

Some Cameronisms:

Rioters stole TVs and trainers. We should take away their benefits, then theyll have to steal everything!

ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 22:05

"The government should break the law by evicting innocent people, because they will show people that its wrong to break the law!"

OP posts:
ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 22:10

"Shoot everyone who disagrees with the government where they stand! Its the only way to restore democracy!"

Grin I got these off the internet.

It's hardly his fault. Labour's to blame through and through. You don't breed a nihilistic generation in a year.

What this is, is feral adult-children realising that their golden goose is about to be shot, and throwing an almighty tantrum in the knowledge that their sappy Labour social worker will make excuses for them and blame anyone except them.

edam · 16/08/2011 22:18

yeah, right... when he was at Oxford Boris Johnson was smashing up restaurants and trashing people's rooms. Was that Labour's fault too? Or are Johnson, Cameron and the rest of them, just possibly, a bunch of steaming hypocrites?

Blueberties · 16/08/2011 22:21

What's that got to do with David Cameron? Don't get your post at all. Why would that be Labour's fault?

You can't breed a generation of nihilists in a year. This has its roots in the Labour years.

adamschic · 16/08/2011 22:23

edam, be careful what you say, look further down or up the thread as Smallwhitecat is mentioning libel.

I really do think the idea that Cameron would sue because a poster on Mumsnet calls him a hypocrite is a bit far fetched.

Blueberties · 16/08/2011 22:26

My goodness you'd be wrong to breathe a sigh of relief if they left government. Well taxpayers would be anyway.

ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 22:27

"People ought to take responsibility for their own actions. Unless those actions are making government policy of course"

adamschic - ?? this is already well known.

OP posts:
TalkinPeace2 · 16/08/2011 22:28

No member of the Bullingdon Club will ever sue for libel because then they would have to explain their actions under oath.

edam · 16/08/2011 22:28

Blue, the point is Johnson and his mates were just as bad when they were young. This idea that we suddenly have a new generation of yobs is rubbish - the current ruling elite was behaving just as badly when they were young. Previous generations had moral panics about Mods and Rockers, Teddy boys, there was looting of bombed houses during WW2... of course the riots were terrible but it's just hyperbole to damn a whole generation or say it's never happened before.

(And people have been moaning about 'the youth of today' since the Romans - probably before as well only they didn't leave any written records.)

InfestationofLannisters · 16/08/2011 22:31

I would laugh about the fact that Shiny Dave looks exactly like <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.com/imgres?q=David+Cameron+IgglePiggle&hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=qnm&sa=X&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&biw=1920&bih=921&tbm=isch&prmd=ivnso&tbnid=ki2xJWotEG9YSM:&imgrefurl=www.leftfootforward.org/2010/04/david-cameron-plymouth-blue-man/&docid=aHYsT83M2uxSGM&w=575&h=333&ei=wuBKTrO_OcW58gPwwNjbCQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=549&page=1&tbnh=82&tbnw=141&start=0&ndsp=77&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&tx=91&ty=54" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">IgglePiggle except that I used to like IgglePiggle Sad

I couldn't even muster a chuckle when his £200K car got dented because he wasn't going to be paying and wouldn't notice even if he had to.

ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 22:32

"End human rights"

Riiiight....Confused Cameron has strayed a bit too far from comedy here.

What next? "bring back slavery, for our own good?"

Oh wait... they already have...

OP posts:
edam · 16/08/2011 22:36

Maybe Cameron's next trick will be to take the vote away from women on the grounds that if we'd all been chained to the kitchen sink we'd have noticed that our children were out looting and rioting...

ChickenLickn · 16/08/2011 22:40

"All that health and safety was just an accident waiting to happen"

HAHAHA!! What a great time to be a comedian.
