to ask how many pairs of knickers you go through in a day?

DP has just text me saying he is putting the washing away and most of it is my knickers.

I wear 2-3 pairs per day and I don't think this is unusual or excessive...

one. unless i've got really sweaty at the gym (i don't wear knickers to yoga or with running tights or padded cycling shorts).

and none at night.

One. I might put on clean if I'm going out at night, but in general one pair.

Did you really think everyone wears 2-3 pairs of knickers a day? Confused

Usually two because I do yoga in the mornings so put on a pair for that (I also put on further clothes ? don't do yoga in a pair of underkecks and nothing else Smile ? then have a shower and put on a clean pair for the day. Don't wear them in bed; I'm a 'nothing but my Chanel No. 5' girl in bed apart from the Chanel No. 5

One pair a day unless I get changed to go out later in the afternoon/evening. I don't wear knickers in bed as I was always told as a child that your mary needs a bit of fresh air, I still say the same to my dd's Blush

I go through about four Blush. Go running in the morning, change them, new knickers for work, swim at lunch time, new knickers for after, shower when I get home, new knickers again. Is that excessive?

I wear one pair a day.

If I do sport I change into my "sporting briefs" (really thin with no vpl - the knicker elastic under lycra is not a good look) but then I'll put my initial pair back on after my shower.

Also, like others, I'll change into a saucy pair if we're going out.

Oh and if DH and I get down to it I'll put a thong on. Technically speaking though, I don't think that would count as "wearing".

Sometimes I'll put on a pair and then change because they're showing through my clothes, or I just know I'm gonna get a wedgie. Does that count?

One a day, but none at night - best to get fresh air in to avoid thrush. If i'm going out in the evening I might pop on a second pair.

I thought I was normal. Mum and sisters are the same....

Mum is rather more excessive though, she won't wash 'facetowels' with 'body towels' and won't wash tea towels with anything else. All towels basically have their own seperate wash.......

But... they're being washed. They're getting clean. What difference does it make what bit of the body they've been used on? Reminds me of the 'germy soap pump' paradox tbh.

I wear one pair a day unless i have a bath mid day and then i will change them, i sometimes wear knickers in bed as i often have to jump out in the midle of the night to tend to dd2 (i dont want to scare her by being but nacked) Grin.

passingtime your mum is right about towels. I'd wash tea-towels with table cloths only. I'd wash face clothes and bath towels together but not with anything else. We seem to be going a little off topic so I'll end with 1 pair of ninnies a day, change if I'm going out and none at night unless I'm riding the crimson wave then it's my bridgits.

One a day. I wear knicks and a wee vest in bed, no jammies. Same pair that I had on that day though. OMG I am a clart!

Oh dear, I've been doing it all wrong. I wear one pair during the day and then put a fresh pair on at night. But it would seem that you're not supposed to wear knickers at night. Why did no one tell me!!

clean pair in the morning, if i have a shower/am extra hot and sweaty a second pair in the afternoon/evening then either a pair of shorts or nowt for comfort at bedtime Grin so not excessive at all..

If I know something coloured has been washed loads before, and wont run, I dont separate it from whites either... :)
