DP has just text me saying he is putting the washing away and most of it is my knickers.

I wear 2-3 pairs per day and I don't think this is unusual or excessive...

I thought pyjamas were for watching tv and being ill in.

How can you truly appreciate being in bed with your pyjamas on? How can you do the little wriggle when you first get in and think 'oh these sheets are nice' with your pj's on??

M0naLisa · 12/08/2011 23:44

I wear 2 pairs per day everyday.
I during the day and then after my bath and get ready for bed, a clean pair. (i prefer to wear knickers at night as have problems with periods so best to wear them if i come on in the night :( which is a regular occurance lately)

michelleseashell · 12/08/2011 23:52

Yeah it is running the gauntlet a bit sometimes with the no pants in bed thing, mona lisa

CurrySpice · 12/08/2011 23:58

I'm aghast that people wear pants to the gym Shock oh god no the chafing!!

One in the morning. Clean pair after the gym.

So one, maybe two. And none in bed

Socks in bed make my legs ache. In fact they ache now just thinking about it

Spuddybean · 12/08/2011 23:58

i'm also 2-3 pairs a day. 1 for the day at work, another pair when i get in and if i go to the gym (every other day) another pair after i shower there. But i never ever sleep wearing any.

there's something about getting out of water and not being able to put worn ones on.

when i go on a 2 week hol i pack about 40 pairs - and still have to wash some out!

Morloth · 13/08/2011 00:00

2, I workout most days so shower and change after that. Sleep naked at night but have PJs I put on when home for the day and for having breakfast with the family etc.

Spuddybean · 13/08/2011 00:00

michelle i'm with you there i have loads of pj's but never actually sleep in them!

branstonsandcheese · 13/08/2011 00:01

I need to have pj bottoms on at least. Hate the feeling of my legs touching each other!

/issues...

michelleseashell · 13/08/2011 00:03

Definitely agreed on the socks curryspice.

You saying they made your legs ache made my ankles feel twitchy. Ugh get these imaginary socks off!

Spuddybean · 13/08/2011 00:03

branston noooo skin on skin in a lovely clean bed is the best feeling - for me anyway, DP gets no say Wink

Spuddybean · 13/08/2011 00:06

feet must always be bare, hot feet make me nauseaus.

in the cold weather i have tried to sleep with pj's but i always wake up naked then look at DP accusingly and ask if he took my clothes off in the night Shock chance would be a fine thing

michelleseashell · 13/08/2011 00:07

I can't stand having bare feet in a formal setting though. You know if you're a guest in someone elses house and you have to take your shoes off and you end up being the only one in bare feet?

rhondajean · 13/08/2011 00:13

If I sleep with pjs on I take them off in my sleep and wake up with them tangled round me being annoying.

Do some people not wear pants to the gym? Will be wiping everything down before I use it from now on (especially the bikes ewww)

midlandsmumof4 · 13/08/2011 00:23

Knickers..Grin. Clean pair of big ones for work but change into a little pair when I get home-but no knickers for bed. Which is were I am now going Wink.

Spuddybean · 13/08/2011 00:24

michelle if i'm a guest in someones house and they ask me to take my shoes off i leave!

i dont understand how pants chafe at the gym - depends on the pants i suppose. But cotton thongs just are there without any noticeability for me.

michelleseashell · 13/08/2011 00:29

:o spuddyb, I don't blame you. Have you tried keeping spare socks in your handbag for visits to houses you haven't scoped out yet?

Spuddybean · 13/08/2011 00:31

michelle no way! i love being barefoot, but my shoes are part of my outfit, they do not get taken off if i am dressed to go to someones house.

michelleseashell · 13/08/2011 02:05

Are thems your shoes rules? :o

Spuddybean · 13/08/2011 02:11

yup, and rules is rules! and my shoes do totally RULE!

MorelliOrRanger · 13/08/2011 05:51

1 or 2 if I'm going out or have done exercise during the day.

None at night.

Can't understand the wearing them at night thing but think its a bit yeuch to wear the same pair day and night that is grim.

AngelsOnHigh · 13/08/2011 06:12

Have not really though about before but strangely enough last week I couldn't understand why I had 18 pair of knickers hanging on the line when I know I wash at least once a week.

I have a fetish for washing everyone's clothes on their own. i.e. All of mine together, DH's all together. DC's all together.

Everyone in the house has their own dirty laundry basket and when it's full I wash everything in it.

Shodan · 13/08/2011 06:27

Shock at no pants to the gym. You need a nice natural fabric next to your bits when you're working up a sweat, not Lycra, or all manner of unpleasant things will happen to them.

tyler80 · 13/08/2011 08:53

I'm amused at the thought that not wearing a cotton thong underneath lycra somehow means that you get everything 'dirty' when you sit on it Confused

Most of the gym stuff I own has a built in cotton gusset bit, a clear sign in my mind that knickers are not required Smile

marriedinwhite · 13/08/2011 09:09

Clean pair every morning. I get home at about 6 and have a shower straight away to wash away the day and change into comfy pull ons, etc. and always put in clean knickers so 2 a day here as well. I suppose I could use a panty liner in the evening pair and make them last for two or three days as I wear them for such a short time but YUK, why would you, when knickers (even my big ones) don't take up much room in the laundry and don't need ironing.

Olifin · 13/08/2011 11:48

Arrrrggghhhh @ not wearing pants at the gym. That makes me feel weird for some reason. I wear a cotton thong under my lycra. I sweat a LOT when I'm working out and don't really like the thought of my minge sweat getting onto the equipment. I'm sure others wouldn't be keen on sharing it with me either.

Agree spuddybean definitely can't put worn knickers back on after a shower.

I exercise 4 or 5 times a week and so will wear 2 pairs of knickers on those days but usually one is enough.

And er.....30+ degrees? I live on the South Coast and I think it's reached 30+ a couple of times this summer so not exactly a regular occurrence.
